Punk asked for a simple one and here it is. I don't care if people rip it or not, it took like 10 minutes. :p

Sorry if I left anything out. If I did, don't hesitate to ask questions!
EDIT: If anybody knows where I can host this image at normal size that would be great. If you can read the tutorial now....sweet.
EDIT: YAY. It works! Just click the link! Full sized.

Well... you hosted it at Imageshack, and you shouldn't have any size problems at Imageshack. Did you save the image that size?
Nice work by the way.

You can take your image into Adobe Image Ready, instead of just Photoshop, image ready is the sister program to photoshop, nobody ever seems to use it.....it is made to optimize your images for distribution on the web.....you can generally shrink your file size greatly while still keeping the aspect of it......keep in mind, you dont need a rediculously high dpi for images that are going to be on web pages.....you can keep a high aspect size, and drop the dpi, either way imageready is the way to go IMO.....I started using it for everything that I put on the web......I can scale an 8x10 image that would be 20meg to either a jpeg of around 500-700k or a bmp of around 350-500k.....I wish I had known what the program was used for years ago, as it would have made life sooooooooo much easier!!!
If you have a fairly recent version of photoshop then you should have imageready as well! PS, Also works with optimizing animations for the web, for all you aspiring signature artists out there.
There are basic tutorials in the program which should show you all you need to know, but the main thing is in the file menu....."save optimized as"

Lol...It's that tiny picture up there! I couldn't read the text on the image, but I was able to get most of it from the images...
It's a thumbnail. Did you click it? It gets a little bigger, at least.

Right click on the blown up image and save it to your pc, then zoom in with whatever photo viewer you choose to use,.....the resolution is high enough you can zoom in pretty far and still make out the text.
Edit: didn't see you got an update to the original tutorial link, well done on blowing it up!

It's the file type you saved it as. .PNG files come up with gray in IE. And if you're hosting a .BMP with Imageshack it converts to a .PNG.
