Demonstone

I have repeatedly tried to install Demonstone on my PC (my system greatly exceeds game Reqs). I always get this message. The install disk is a DVD in DVD drive that works fine.

"Please insert the original disk instead of a backup. See www.securon.com/copy (http://www.securon.com/copy) for more details. Is this a pirated copy??? Other ideas?

This is not the right forum for this - but before I move it, here are a couple things to check:

Do you have any disk emulation software/copy software loaded? If so, uninstall those products, reboot and try to uninstall.

Do you have a second dvd/cd drive that you can try?

Where did you get the dvd? If it was from a retail store, it more than likely is not an illegal copy. The copy protection may not not recognize your drive, and a support email to securon may be your only recourse.
