HELP with the snail and 4 lights, Please!!

I am about 30% complete, and am at the part where there is the barred door that needs 4 lights to open. There are two areas to hang from, and a third area where Arthur needs to climb to get to the rock to put on one of the orange pads for the 4th light on the door to open. There is also a snail atop the highest part of the rock. When I get Arthur climbing, Betameche circle turns orange, but I don't know how or what to do with him here. When I switch and hit any of the PS2 control keys, Arthur drops down.
HELP!! I am playing the hard parts for my 5 year old and I have to get through this part.

I will help you when I get there but since you are past me can u help me? I am in the begining of the tunnels. I fought the warriors and jumped up and down and now I am in a room where there are like 3 levels. The bottom level only arthur can go to and gets stuck down there. The other 2 have to get him up. I have the 2 stones so I can jump up to the top level but when I go to jump across to where the swinging wood is I fall everytime. I mean a days worth of replaying the level and falling. I have no idea how to get to the orange button to bring arthur back up.. Please help me. Since we are close I will help u when I catch up if you want..:D

First of im Fraggle but it wouldnt let me have that name :( so i got this one :(!!!
okies betemeche has to stand infront of the snail on ground a use item will come up you have to use it, once inside betem has to block the colours in time if not you start again, you just keep trying till you block all the coloured lights!! Once the colours are blocked you open the door but dont move bete or you have to do all over again!! I know I quit and its was like OMG NO WAY NOt AGAIN!!!!
NOW imma having a problem I can do the snail lights i can get the chick to stand on the dot, I can climb to the first corner but once i try to jump i drop.
now i can turn jump on the first rung of the climb and several other places i can do the turn jump but.... everytime i go around the corner and try to jump to other rung to get to platform i drop... 3 days i been trying to do this *sighs* its peving me immensly!!! I have even tried turning my keyboard around(im playing on pc not atari thingy) i drop i have tried hitting drop jump and back directionals but i drop, I have tried different timings i have tried all together, basically either im **** or im not doing it right HELP me plz I can do no more till i get this jump and i dont know what im doing wrong :( I soooo like this game!!!:bored: :pout: :sour: :( :eek:
