[WIP] AH13 Oz/Kingdom Hearts Cs set-

Ok , so this is my first cs set , and needing wizard of oz cs , I decided to make my own. But after getting a million requests I decided to make this a bundle set.

The set will include cs for the following:

*Kingdom Hearts/Disney

Im open for 3 more suggestions. I may take them , I may not.

Hello Andrew,

I would suggest you try working with alpha textures, instead of "cutting" the figures out. This would save a lot of polygons.
Furthermore, the figures look quite good, but make sure you have a plane on both sides - even if it's just a wodden texture or something similar, as otrherwise they will be invisible from the back.
Some of the edges are cut out slightly off, showing white edges. You might wanna look into this.

Now, these are alpha textured or are they 2d planes shaped to the texture?

Are they double sided with a reverse texture, or do they disappear on the other side?

Thank you luckygirl for the comment , I'm fixing the models know. :D I hope noone minds that im not using alphas.

Alphas can be a bit spiny, but they'll cut down on faces -- in other words, they can be seen from one end of the park to the other.

I can fix the green tinge! Instead of using SIAlphaDS, use SIAlphaMaskDS. Green tinge gone!

Save your models as they are and then simply create a second model (different name!!). It should be a two sided plane - now apply the normal texture and in the imported check the option "internal alpha". This should be you.

These look very good!

When I first started making comlex shapes like this, I was nowhere
near as good as you! Just sort out the white bits and then they are perfect.

I'm pleased that you used my tutorial, keep up the good work!

That shouldn't be the reason for you to use alphas though. Generally if a texture is to dark, brighten it up in Milkshape (ambient option) and if that's not enough, and the possibly better option, brightn the texure up by using a graphic program such as Photoshop or Gimp.

Sorry for the double post.... This thread was way back on the third page , and I dont think anyone was going to post in it , lol.

So , after deciding to take up more than just The Wizard Of Oz (and gettin a million requests ,lol) Ive started some Kingdom Hearts/Disney scenery. For those of you who've never seen or heard of the Kindgom Hearts , Its a game about a boy who is transported through darkness to the disney universe , where he has to travel through various disney "worlds" such as agrabah , from alladin , antlantica , from the little mermaid and fight the darkness that has entered their worlds.

Maybe you know, that the third SHREK-film came to the movies in about two month. I would like to have Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss In Boots as main characters, maybe The Dragon, Lord Farquaad as secondary characters. I'm sure creators of Universal Studio Parks would like to have them too.

In my experiences, Sketchup is much easier then Milkshape. There aren't many steps when making an object in Sketchup, the hardest thing is making sure the number of faces and polys are low.
