Is there such a thing as too much CS?

All the most recent sets I've downloaded don't appear to show in the scenery menu when I try and use them. These are:

Lucky Girls harbour set 1&2
Shy Guy's Main Street set 4
Yesnt's Arcade set
Caffinated Letters

Is there something which I would have to do to install these sets differently, or is it something else?

What folder did you put them in? Like tell us what you did when you installed them.

Actually, those few sets appear in the 'walls' section, not the scenery.

...Style/Themed, extracted files, made sure there will be no .svd error thing. I've downloaded CS before, it's just the five most recent ones (ones I listed) don't show anywhere on the scenery menu.

The one thing I do know is that there is no limit, so the sets must be installed wrong. I think anyway, I know many users have every single set. Try this: Taking every set out of your themed folder and into a folder you create named 'Themed Backup'. Run the game. If the scenery doesnt appear, something is wrong. You have checked that they are installed correctly?

Hmm could be the answer but he/she did say that the other sets work, so I'm infering that he/she knows how to add CS to their game.

The one thing I do know is that there is no limit.

Whilst this is a slight digression from the general gist of the thread, it should be pointed out that there are limits, namely the capabilities of the computer running the software.

Every piece of scenery installed takes up a little bit of memory, which means that there's less memory for the rest of the game to use. If you have a machine with a small memory capacity then you're going to hit the point where windows starts paging memory to disc sooner which is the point at which the game becomes unplayable.

Similarly, every time you open the scenery menu, it scans through the list of scenery items. The more items in the list, the more time it will take to scan through. On slower PC's this can start to become an issue.
