Just wondering if I can purchase the downloadable version since im from canada. You give the options to see how much the game is in canadian dollars but we arn't listed under the countries drop down list.

Nope, Canadians aren't allowed to play!

Maybe you could just say you're in the USA? Don't see what the difference would be besides currency.

Ok seriously thats dumb, it lists Puerto Rico as one of the countries. Also if I say im in the usa my address is invalid.

lol I don't want to! You were complaining (not You personally but with the problems with downloads) when the download was not working. I could say that my address is in the USA or puerto rico for that matter. Its just a dumb restriction thats all.

Thank you [BFs]GBesaw thats the sort of strait answer I was looking for, I figure since they have the Canadian currency there it won't be too long.

:bulb: Digital download cannot be bought in other countries.

So what's going on with us Canadians, any updates, no work I see from the DEVS, or CS, awesome, I love sitting here 1 hour away from the US border, and that invisible boundry determines whether or not I can play right now......

Can someone look into this issue again please??

I'm just going to start by saying that I have been so excited for TDU to come out. The game looks absolutely awesome to me. I can't wait to drive some of those wicked cars. This being said however I have been somewhat disturbed by all the complaints I've heard about the issues with the game. I can't help but reading the literally thousands of postings from people who are having nothing but issues with the game.

Combine that with the whole digital download fiasco and the fact that only americans and puerto ricans can download the game and you get a pretty ugly picture. Don't get me wrong here- I'm still stoked to play this game but what the heck is going on with Atari?

They can't seem to get it right! I expect more from a company that has been around for so long. All of these problems are just taking away from the game and I'm sure there is a large number of gamers that have been turned off by this.

All that being said, I have to get on the bandwagon here and say why aren't canadians allowed to buy online yet? There has been more than enough time to get it organized, but i guess that Atari is still trying to get the game to work at all.

All I want is for an Atari employee to give us an idea as to when we can expect to download it. Thank you.

For various reasons beyond our control not having to do with the actual game itself, Atari US cannot offer the European / Other versions of the game through our website at this time. All non US copies have to be bought in your local territory as per the way a normal box product release goes.

Sorry!

Regards,
Matt

That's direct from Matt with Atari on the main announcement thread..... so looks like we are screwed for an early download, but I bet you it will be availabe once it hits store shelves up here and in other countries... funny how they can easily offer 10+ games via Digital Download on the Atari site with no problems, but for TDU they are keeping it back. What gives?

ok I can understand them not offering european versions. However, that version that will be in Canada will be the US version so I see no reason why they cannot add canada to the download link.

Their argument is also flawed because they do offer it to Puerto Rico, which is not American. Perhaps Atari knows something we don't and the Americans are about to invade Puerto Rico and claim it as their own.... Just a theory!

I was about to buy the game today via digital download, since i seen Canadian currency as an option i didn't think there would be a problem.

So for some reason they cant offer it to Canadians and now half the people on the game are gonna be a week ahead of everyone, and by the time we get it, everyone is gonna have faster cars :(

thats like a teacher bringing candy to a class and giving it to only half the students, very unprofessional.
