Although I'm happy with my Saleen S281 Extreme Coupe (http://www.saleen.com/s281_e.htm) in metallic green (which you'll see me driving a lot), I would still like to see the 2007 Saleen / Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang (http://www.saleen.com/saleen-parnellijones.htm) (based off the Boss 302 Ford Mustang (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_0703_saleen_ford_mustang/)) in Test Drive Unlimited.

Anyone else think this should be added?

If so, would you rather there be a limited number of Gamertags that get it (like doing another one of those referral programs when the game was first released) OR just have it available for everyone to get?

Yeah, they're pretty cool. I'm sure a lot of 'stang fans would want to see it added, and that isn't a problem with me. However, I'm sure there are other mustangs that those fans would like to see added, such as '03 SVT Cobra (R), the original Boss, the GT500, or even the Bullit or Mach 1 mustangs (original and '01 and '04 versions, respectively). I'm sure that Atari has looked into some of these, but who knows when any of them will actually come out?

i would in fact like to see this in the game. i would definitely like to add it in my garage. :) ive grown up a Ford fan (seeing my old man's one). If that hood scoop is actually functional, that'd be killer (ive seen on Ponybuilder.com you can get one just like it thats a fake. where it shakes on its own...)

The 302 Boss Ford Mustang and the 2007 Saleen / Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang are NOT in the game and they are NOT available in a download pack. I was only asking other users if they would be interested in it along with suggesting that Atari/Eden add them as downloadable cars.

Moving on...

You can upgrade a Ford Mustang GT Coupe (Group E) to a
Ford Mustang GT Coupe (Group E - level 1)
Ford Mustang GT Coupe (Group E - level 2)
Ford Mustang GT Coupe (Group E - level 3)
OR to
Saleen S281 3-Valve Coupe (Group E - level 1)
Saleen S281 Supercharged Coupe (Group D - level 2)
Saleen S281 Extreme Coupe (Group C - level 3)

You can also upgrade a Ford Mustang GT Convertible (Group E) to a
Ford Mustang GT Convertible (Group E - level 1)
Ford Mustang GT Convertible (Group E - level 2)
Ford Mustang GT Convertible (Group E - level 3)
OR to
Saleen S281 3-Valve Convertible (Group E - level 1)
Saleen S281 Supercharged Convertible (Group D - level 2)
Saleen S281 Supercharged Speedster (Group D - level 3)

Basicly...
the "Ford" option allows you to upgrade your Ford Mustang to a tuned Ford Mustang
AND
the "Saleen" option allows you to upgrade your Ford Mustang to a very high performance Saleen Mustang

So here is the FAQ I wrote on how to get it:

Most of you probably know about the Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo (available at US Independents), but did you know about the 6 OTHER Saleens in the game or even how to get them?

Saleen S281 Coupe:
To get the Saleen S281 3 Valve Coupe (Group E), Saleen S281 Supercharged Coupe (Group D), or the Saleen S281 Extreme Coupe (Group C), head to the Ford dealer and buy a Ford Mustang GT Coupe (Group E). Then head to US Muscle Tuner. You will be presented with 2 options, Ford or Saleen. Choose Saleen and then choose your upgrade package. Please note that the make and model of your vehicle along with the group it belongs to will change after you accept the upgrade package. Please keep in mind that you new Mustang is NO longer a Ford after you do this upgrade. You will NOT be able to participate in any challenges that require a Ford. In addition, the group your new Mustang belongs to may also change. This means that you might NOT be able to participate in any Group E challenges with your new Mustang (depending on the upgrade package selected).

Saleen S281 Convertible:
To get the S281 3 Valve Convertible (Group E), Saleen S281 Supercharged Convertible (Group D), or the Saleen S281 Supercharged Speedster (Group D), head to the Ford dealer and buy a Ford Mustang GT Convertible (Group E).

NOTE 1: The Ford dealership and US Muscle Tuner are located south on your map near the Audi and the Chevrolet/Saturn dealership. This area is called Palolo (north of Waikiki). If you have never been to the Ford dealership or US Muscle Tuner, you will need to drive there first. After the first visit, you can "warp" there using the map (press right on the D-pad while in Freeride and highlight KEY LOCATIONS).

NOTE 2: If you are connected to the internet and have an Xbox Live Gold account, you CAN buy a Ford Mustang GT Coupe or Ford Mustang GT Convertible using the TRADE system (at your house). Just keep in mind that you will NEED a level 0 (STOCK) Ford Mustang GT Coupe or Ford Mustang GT Convertible to upgrade to a Saleen S281. This means that a level 1, level 2, or level 3 Ford Mustang GT Coupe or Ford Mustang GT Convertible CANNOT be upgraded to a Saleen S281. To find out if the car you are about to purchase has been upgraded or not, look for the box with the wrench in it. The number below that shows the upgrade level. At level 0, it is a stock car (i.e. what you buy at the dealership). You can also purchase any of the Saleen S281's using the TRADE system, however, the prices of them may be higher (or lower if you're lucky) than what it would cost you to buy a Ford Mustang GT Coupe or Ford Mustang GT Convertible and upgrade it yourself.

Well, for the people that want to buy it off trade:

Mustang GT Coupe: 25K + Stg. 3 Saleen tuning: 30K... so reg. price would be 55K

Mustand GT Convertible: 30K + Stg. 3 Saleen tuning: 30 K... so reg. price would be 60K.

So don't go over that price, unless you're getting a custom paint-jobbed one.

Think performance tuned Ford F-150 pickup truck. Now you know what the Saleen S331 is.

Pickup trucks (or trucks in general) aren't even in Test Drive Unlimited.

Even though Atari/Eden does have the licenses to add almost any Ford or Saleen into the game, they aren't going to add pickup trucks anytime soon. Not to mention buses, vans, SUVs, or even SUTs (an SUV pickup truck mix like the Chevrolet Avalanche and Cadillac Escalade SUT).

Pretty much all Test Drive Unlimited has are cars and motorcycles.

but it would be nice to drive around/race in an SRT10 Ram, Lightning, S331, Silverado SS, 1940-sum Ford F1/100, Ranchero, El Camino, etc.

Though the SSR, its considered a truck isnt it? and thats in the game

Trucks aren't even in Test Drive Unlimited, so that means that the Chevrolet SSR must be classified as a car. With that said, it does look like a truck by it's design.

However, the Chevrolet HHR is more of an SUV and is closely related to the Chrysler PT Cruiser.

If you want to continue this discussion, I'd suggest creating a new topic.

I'd love a Saleen/Parnelli Jones mustang. It would be cool if they could add a patch where it would become a tuning option.
