Bundle of Combined Custom Scenery

(My apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I didn't find anything in the last 5 pages or by searching.)

Last time I dropped in here, there was yet another thread going on about the (bad) idea of making one big zip file of all the custom scenery. I seem to recall that many custom scenery makers did not want their sets packaged that way and said so quite clearly. If you fall into that category, you may want to check out this site http://downloads.rct3media.com/scenery.html because that's exactly what they have done.

In my case, not only was I not asked for permission (rather rude) but there are also errors in the way they zipped up my files - pretty bad for unsuspecting users.

If you're a custom scenery creator, you may want to check it out.

If you use custom scenery, I strongly urge you to stay away from that site. Who knows what other errors they may have in there. It's very easy to find the real thing, usually from links in the creator's sig, and you'll know it's up to date.

no. The thing to do here is to email his ISP, Bravenet.com, and inform them that he is plagurising other peoples works without their permission. They will shut him down. Sadly, I cant be part of it because he apparently didnt use my one set.

They havn't any exclusive sets inside this package. And the hundreds of misspellings don't let me think, that this is a serious pack.

And the people over don't even understand how custom scenery even works. It is actually quite funny.

It is very funny! Somebody said that they wished that they could hack
into the game so that they could replace the existing RCT3 paths with
custom ones! I don't think that will ever happen!

Anyway- thank you for the warning but luckily none of my sets
were on there. phew!

EDIT: I love how they used clips from Moby's Armageddon in the movie on the home page. Did you authorize that, Moby?

Has anyone downloaded the bundle of scenery?
Also, I had a PM from the owner of this site, so I know the username of the owner. Shall I PM him? Do others know his name?

I think i gave permission for my video links. I only got to see the first 11 secs of the home page clip and i didn't like how they changed the soundtrack. And in my Moondance vid the colour is wrong.

Downloaded it to test it. It's not good, there are some problems:
Structure problem with 'starwars'-set which will cause a sid:-error
Some strange ovl-files in 'wildwest'-folder
Mixed files, unistallers, pictures, readmes, tutorials within the folders to put within style\themed
Doesn't look like anyone tested this carefully.

I haven't been paying much attention to the site for a while and I didn't even know this was going on.
Anyway, I have deleted the custom scenery download page and the bulk download. Also I am revising the promo video to show only a certain users work.
If anything like this happens again can you please email me at webmaster@rct3media.com rather than post it in the forums so I can solve the problem quickly.

I do apoligize to any CS maker this issue affected.

They could use Nero-Showtime. This is the only program, that always want play my RCT-DAT-files. Stupid programs for stupid users. :D
