Ok, so how do I get the internet on the Wii? My Wii is downstairs and there isn't a computer near by. Does there need to be?
And like what type of connection do I need?

OK, here are some full-length instructions on how to be able to surf the web on your Wii.

First of all, and most importantly, you must have an Internet connection (no duh)

Second of all, you must have a way of connecting to that blessed connection of yours; you have two choices: a compatible wireless access point, a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, or a Wii LAN Adapter.

Thirdly, once you have established the connection to the Internet from the Wii using one of those options, it is time to download the Internet Channel from the Wii Shop Channel.
-Connect to the Wii Shop Channel
-Select "Wii-Ware"
-Select "Internet Channel
-Select "Download"
The download will not take very long; a Mario grabbing coins will keep you entertained while you wait.

Finally, once the software is downloaded, fire up the Internet Channel, and you are good to go.

Oh, and I suggest having Broadband or DSL to keep your Wii fast online. YOU WILL MOST LIKELY NEED A COMPUTER.
But the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector gets good range, and most wireless access points do too get good range, so I would not worry about how far your system is.

OK. I thought I needed that connector thing because my internet is wired. (SBC Global). Are those connector things expensive?
