Okay, so I've come really close a couple of times to placing gold in this race, but this has got to be the most frustrating race I've encountered so far.
I've missed it by .5 seconds with my L3 Mustang, and probably around 3s or so with my L3 Nismo.
So what are the main challenges in this race? Well, first it's got heavy traffic. Second, it's hilly, so half the time you can't see where the traffic is, and third, it's bumpy, so your control is hampered.
In the Mustang, I've been as much as 8 seconds ahead of the reference time by the 4th checkpoint, but I just haven't had any luck with it, and almost always end up planting myself in a utility truck, shortly followed by the ditch. Random heavy traffic FTL.
Anyway, I must've spent 45 minutes on this one last night, and I just haven't been able to pull it together for the gold win. Any suggestions? Will one of the other cars hold the road better?

I missed gold by .18 something secs, in a zo6. I have only tried it a few times. I'll give it another shot today. My biggest prob is the uneven road surface, but I think I just need to get used to the bad spots and it shouldn't be too tough then.

yea i used the pontiac also heavier car nicer for the jumps just let off the gas a tad for the jumps and stay on the shoulder of the road as much as possible.

Somehow, I managed to complete this one tonight. My first ever gold finish on it, and I beat it by 9 seconds. Used the Mustang. I didn't even think I was doing that well when I did it, but I managed to pick up around 5 seconds by the time I hit the tunnel, and I think that might have kept me relaxed enough to complete the twists.

whatever you do, avoid the 350Z at all cost. This is the worst car in the game. period.

good car to practice no?

i used the nismo for all the E races/events and some amature-no-resitriction events.
not that i intended to "practive", actually i just love the Z!!!:D

i did have difficulty getting gold on first tries, but it was a good feeling getting gold after a few tries.
just memorize the track, and pick the right line, that's what racing's all about!

Big bit of advice. Don't use the Mustang. It's pants.

IIRC, I done Angels Jump in a L3 Alfa GT 3.2, and it was childs play. Usual hill advice is major here, being don't sit in the middle of the road. Abuse the shoulder and you'll fly through it. Very easy race.

I used a stage 3 Mustang GT and still had 5 seconds to spare with a run that was far from perfect. Although the Mustang doesn't handle all that great, it is the fastest Class E car and the speed comes in very handy.

Beat it on the first run through in my S4. I forget if that was before or after I tuned it to stage 3...

i got gold with my stock 350z nismo it's a race of chance you just have to get the right traffic pattern and hope there's no one on the other side of the hill, if you know they are slow down, and it's better to hit the cars from behind...doesn't slow you down as much :bulb:

Completed it in the Audi S4 Cab with 5 seconds to spare. Just go easy on the gas when you get air.
