I have the DVD version, just installed, and everything works great, except that the screen is *very* dark - I can hardly see the character or terrain, even with my monitor settings at max. I play a lot of games, and this is a unique issue to Silverfall. Anyone know of a way to correct the brightness or gamma?

You may try a program called 'Radlinker', I am unsure of its age but i've used it once i think when I had a similar issue. It allows you to adjust your video card settings on a per program basis. So you may try increasing the gamma/brightness for silverfall and see if that helps you.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am running Nvidia not ATI :( I tried some of the application based profile options after drilling down into the driver a bit, but they all seemed preoccupied with aliasing and performance, not actual tweaking of the color/brightness. I also messed around with Adobe gamma (I run their graphics suite on my game box) and that actually helped slightly. Still need a lot more brightening for me to be comfortable with it.
It's pretty perplexing why this is having an issue.. compared to "notoriously" dark games like doom3, Titan's Quest, HL2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. etc had no issues lol.

I wouldn't call Titan Quest a dark game. Has a lot of bright outside areas. And even when its dark outside it isn't dark like Doom 3.

This one is going to sound silly, but it just might work:
If you're on an LCD monitor, try tilting it forward to the point that it is at an angle towards you.
I was having problems seeing too, and put mine at about an 80 degree angle, and I can see the game fine.
Alternatively, you could also try adjusting the brightness on your monitor.
