SO i understand that XBox360 gets these DLC monthly updates with new cars and all that. Dose anyone officially know when us PC users will get monthly new cars like xbox? I think that once i see the game actually out on the shelves, this games really going to come to life. I think atari is going to get us all our patches and new cars.

Why else would they keep pushing the box release date farther and farther? To fix it i hope.

Maannn i wanna see some nice Japanese cars in this game. Imagine taking out a fully custom 1200hp skyline r34 out on the highways. This game should have ways to actually SETUP a car (camber, spring rates, all the suspension and other jazz) like really go in depth with the tuning.

Pardon me babbling...
WHOOO FIRST POST ON FORUMS EVER!!! :haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

That's harsh. I think we will see some new cars at some point, in some form. I don't know if they will be free or not. The first DLC took a long time to hit the XBox 360, but it did come eventually and there have been others since then.

Yeah i think that soon we will see that download tab non transparent.

But i was wondering if the actual BOX version is now out in stores, and if it is any better then the digital *glitch* *glitch* download?:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

Sorry i dont agree about tuning... GTR2 is like that and seriously how many of us understand exactly what to tune or not. This game is a driving game and not a Racing one IMO

They should just leave a tunning section for ppl that don't know whats going on but give the ppl that understand cars the option to modify it! If they let us modify cars then this game will really start to feel like the best game since gran turismo... I will agree the main reason i'm saying this is because my ps2 died and I just want a good online game with tunning.... even if its just gears and suspension! But hell if they want to do motor i'm all for that !!!!!!!

I second mr subiewrx, and i think alot of others would agree that custom tuning would add a nice aspect to a car.

yeah by allowing tunning all they would do is give those drivers who understand car physics which really isn't that hard a chance to have a blast tunning there cars to make them perfect!

something about beating everyone with a custom tunned car is just fun:noob:

I'll trust Aston Martin and McLaren to set up the cars for me.

and let them do that... but allow the ppl that know how to tune there car to there own personal liking to do that... I personally really want to have a skyline with lots of oversteer and chances are the game developers won't be making one so i would like to have the option to tune the car... I mean the already have the ability to let us do it so why not let us!

Come on TDU give us the ability to change gears so the vette can do more then 40 in first and the ability to set up new suspensions so we can stop spinning the catteram in the uphill touges!

Many people knows about tunning and set ups.

But it is obvious this is a good "arcade" game and not a "race sim" for more casual gamers who don't want an overly complicated, easy to pick up, driving game, and for that TDU did a fantastic job!

GTR2 or any other "race sims" are totally different ball games, where tunning, set up, testing, in addition to driving is what draw all the sims fans alike to those games.

Please. It's Caterham.

I'm sure there are other games out there that let you faff about with your skyline's gidgets and wizmos to your heart's content.

Nope.

and its GADGETS AND GIZMOS

ROFL

I dont think you all understand me and subies POV here. We are all for keeping the tuning stages. But ADDING a custom tuning stage, giving us access to all the goodies. TDU can easly regulate racing so pple without custom setups arent racing against someone whos got a wildly perfect custom setup. You wont lose anything that the game has now, just an addition for the 50%+ of the gameplayers that would really like this, or at least the option to do it.

tuning is alot of fun, and really you can find alot of tuning info particuarly on gran turismo sites that will help any noob to tuning figure out what is what when tuning.

alot of my time in gt4 was tuning cars, trying out other peoples tunes and trying my own setups to see what fit best for me, and i am by no means a tuning expert ir ever done it before but with the info you can find online for tuning anyone can work out the basics.

tuning cars and modding cars with plastic fenders and bling are two different things.

I wholeheartedly agree. One of the things I miss most from MCO is the ability to truly fine-tune a car to the point where an 8 oz. horn could be the only thing keeping you in class!

I think it'd be wise of the Devs to come up with a way to include the "advertised" customization. Especially if it used some of the plethora of cupons I have lying around my houses from carting models and bums around the island!

imagine the resale market if true tuning was in also, expert tuned stage 3 class A cars then really might be worth 9 million like some put them up for.

custom speed, handling, drift, hybrid tunes, i know in gt4 i kept several different tuning setups, my n-ring handling cars, my speed ring tuned cars.

you could keep your basic tune stages even and just add more tuning options for each stage. so your stage 3 would have full suspension, gearing, timing tunes and all have the same base hp, acceleration etc.

anyway i never see tdu as getting any of this but should would be nice if tdu2 would.

As i understand it TDU has a realistic enough simulator to have tuning. I recall reading something somewhere saying that the game is ready for tuning, but the devs decided not to for simplicity sake. So hopefully as this game starts getting car packs and lord knows a patch or two, we will see some tuning things too....

...at least i hope :noob:

That would be nice, only thing wrong with this game is the "Tuning" packages. I would much rather pick from turbo or SC, EFI, injectors, pullies, intakes, mani's, etc etc etc etc etc.

Everyones car would be slightly different, some would want the constant power of a SC, some the boost of a turbo, would make multiplayer more fun.

Double that!

But the sad thing is, do you really think they read these forums and listen to us!? They already sold us the game, why spend more money on it :(

But I really hope they try to turn this game into something good....I like it now, but w/o tuning multi is kinda boring....

Hmmm you've got a point. I was in a few online races, all of us in the Lambo Mooch stage 3, and you just knew the race was going to be dull.

Finer "tuning" (you lot are illiterate), would definently make the game more varied. I for one would like the opportunity to add better brakes :D

I agree, some cars do need better brakes, but if your talking supercars...take a lookie at how fast your going and ask yourself, in real life you think this car would go from 190mph to 60mph in 200ft? In real life your brakes would GLOWWW if you tried that, not to mension you would wake up in an ER. lol :noob:

Well yes.. yes there was a game like that... more tuning than you could shake a stick at... build an engine from scratch change everything from pistons, cams to blocks and fuel injection... different type and load springs, brake parts, tire sizes, rims galore... any part you can change on a real car could be changed in the game was it massive online play? Ubetcha..... Motor City Online was a game that was before it's time....

I like TDU fine... but I really miss being able to change everything about the car... and make it handle the way I wanted it too.... was I an expert... no but people shared setups... then I changed things to see what difference they made....

man I miss that game...

or Atari could just make this game have simple modifications... were not asking for the extreme just the basics. It is said this game could be just as involved as GT4 which really isn't that involved. The big thing in GT4 was suspension and gearing. Which is all I really want!

I mean if they have the ability to do it why not do it what would it hurt:sour:

They have the ability to walk around the office wearing mini-skirts and throwing bananas at each other, but that doesn't mean they should do it, even if I want them to.

I want to paint a Union Jack on the roof of all my cars, but I can't. Oh well, I'll live...

:) This is just such a great topic I had to register:)

Well just the other day i thought to myself Custom tunning and my eyes widened I thought what a great idea i mean being able to actually tune your car to make it more towards acceleration or top speed would be fantastic.
Seriously come on i bought a $300,000 3rd stage for my McF1 gtr and 4 what no turbo or intake sounds. All i got was better acceleration, braking and top speed "WHICH I COULD HAVE DONE ON MY OWN FOR NOTHING" if we had tunning * k no joke i just burnt my mozzarella sticks* i finish my argument
