I seem to have a hard time keepin my DPS companions up. I am Defensive nature with Lychanthrope. Nice build for me so far. I have Morkla(sp?) on Heal only mode. and the Elf guys...forget his name. On attack mode. He seems to start off attacking same target as me...but then switches thus pulling agro. I go over and try to pull it off. but by that time he has switched again and has another beating on him. Not a big deal except with bigger groups and champs. Any advice here as to what im doing wrong or not doing?

You're doing nothing wrong. There's isn't any way to control your companions - at least non that I know of.

They just move around randomly - seldom doing what you want them to do.

If you talk to your melee and ranged companions, you'll see dialogue options to have them focus on only the target you're attacking, or cut them loose to attack anything. The first option seems to work well, where they will only attack what you're attacking. The free for all option seems a little buggy, where they will often times stand around and do nothing, or just run back in the middle of fight...which isn't good when you're playing a ranged character.

If you do have a ranged character, setting the dual-wielding elf to only attack your target will work pretty well. He eventually gets Berserker Charge, and as soon as you click to shoot, he'll charge into that enemy form a distance. Most of the baddies near him will stop running towards you and attack him. Just remember to keep either Morka or Drill set to heal only to keep him alive. His armor rating will always stink since he's using berserker.

Edited to add: For a lycan player, the dual-wielding elf isn't a great companion match. His berserker charge will bring him into the fight before you sometimes, taking all of the aggro initially. I've had more luck taking a ranged DPS companion while playing a lycan. So you'd have you (lycan), healer (Morka or Drill), and a ranged DPS (several options here, both magic and bow/gun).

Hmmm, I had Danselame on free for most of the game - perhaps that's why he seemed to do nothing usefull...? I think I'll try to change to my own target and see if that changes anything.

He seemed a lot better for me once I did that. Otherwise he just sort of did his own thing, like you said, which didn't seem to always include helping me.

Good info. I think ill try using Dril as dps isntead of the elf. Usually he isnt a big deal and healer can keep him up. Against champs and ghouls and other monsters of the like, he will pull 2 or 3 of em on him at once and its nite nite for him. Debuff from Dril will be nice i suppose. Wonder what gear would be best for her. Seems as though she is mostly Shadow???? Off topic of this thread, but, How do i get loyalty up with my companions? I try to pick what seems to be what they want to here when they have new dialouge for me, but the loyalty isnt bugding. Lvl 20ish atm and gettin ready to head into the robot factory.
