Silverfall the Nature/technology?

Hey!

I was wondering, how do you get technology? Im doing quest's but nothing seems to happen, im lvl 11 atm. Im trying to use firearms but i need help on the technology, what quests? or is it other ways to get it?

I was wondering this myself when I started playing. But it looks like you get it by questing only. The first set that gets you technology is from the Blacksmith and his assistant in the refugee camp. Look for him, he touts the con's of living the natural way... I can't recall his name, but there really is only one blacksmith. He's near the goblin who sells life insurance.

Start with the quests from the weapons vendor in the refugee camp. Those quests will get you started down the technology path. Don't do the nature quests given by the female elf in the corner of the camp. Avoid any quests that talk about protecting the land or preserving the land. If you've already made it to the Elf village, there are two faction quest givers. A female elf (nature) and a male elf (tech). The tech quest giver is just on the other side of the weapons vendor. You'll know it's him because he talks about how backwards the rest of the elves in the village are, and how he likes progress. When you complete his quests, you should be looking good for technology progress.

Keep accepting quests related to progress and technology. Avoid all quests that talk about preserving or protecting the land, they can actually bring your tech % down.

Actually there's as well a nature quest you can turn into tech quest in the starter camp. The one asking you to go see the hunters and have them get away. Take it, and when you get to the hunters, talk to them, they'll make you an offer: go kill some particular beast around and they'll give you a rifle ;) (though that's the only quest I know of where you end up with both alignment shift possibilities).

So, did I just miss them... I have yet to see a "how do I get nature skills?" thread.

Are tech-heads just, um, a bit more short sighted, or do we all favor technology?

Heh, reminds me of other games "do you want to play the good paladin, who's special powers include healing, praying and beautiful scribing, or do you want to play the evil death knight, who has really *****in' armor and gets all sorts of desctrutive, fire-blasting special abilities??"

There are a bunch of nature quests. For me, I opted not to go the nature way, since I'm a tech junkie in real life anyway. But I know there is a person in the refugee camp that wants you to stop some hunters (this can be turned to a tech one, also). I've seen others, mostly things like at not helping technology initiatives, or just helping people do non-techie things. Just be watchful for people with names, because some don't have ! over their heads.
