Settings?!

OK. I recently formatted and reinstalled my OS (win XP pro). Now I just reinstalled my STEAM download of Silverfall.

I fire up the game and am like oh man.... I need to crank the graphics up again to 1600 X 1200 as normal (I have a monster system). So I click on options and then click on grpahics settings. It says it needs to exit the game and then settings will open. OK. I click on OK... I goto desktop and wait... and wait... and yeah it ain't coming up.

So I goto my STEAM area for the game and right click on Silverfall and select "settings" a launch window ops up for like .5 seconds and then back to deasktop.

HOW THE HELL DO I ADJUST MY SETTINGS FOR THE GAME!?

On my last install I had the demop version of Silverfall and I had an exterior setup link I could use to adjust the video settings. I kind of remember that the settings in game before correctly dropped me to the graphics settings.

Can anyone help me? I WILL NOT play this game at the default settings.

Well after I searched around in the steam folders and figured out where Sliverfall is installed inside of that I found a setup.exe I could use since the one from the game wasn't executing.

When trying to use that I got an error about a missing dx9.dll file so I installed the latest Direct X and whatdya know the settings window started working.

I know how responsive Atari is on tech support (or isn't more to the point) but I am still going to go ahead a waste some typing here.

Could you guys maybe add an error window when the settings window doesn't function correctly.

Error messages are GOOD cuz they um.... tell ya what erred!

Can't really help you with your problems but hope you get it running to your satisfaction because it's a great game and maybe I'll catch you online for some grinding someday. :)
