[WIP] Disney Classics-

:up: After being TERRIBLY bored. I decided to pick back up with custom scenery. I wanted it to have a Disney feel to it , but DEFINETELY did'nt want to have anything to do with space mountain *gag* or any of those
other overly used disney themes. So i came up with this set. It will include many memorable pieces from Disney classic movies. Including Snow White , Peter Pan , etc etc. DO NOT EVEN ASK for me to include newer disney shows/movies. Lilo and stich and meet the robinsons were just a few I figured I would hear about.

I know these are just alphas and not much as of yet. And don't worry many 3d objects will be included (such as the flower inside the glass case from Beaty and the beast , etc)
Looking foraward as to what you all think about them so far!


Also : Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could include to this set? (from disney's classic movies , not newer ones)

Were you thinking of possibly doing scenery from the classic rides at disney world and disneyland, like something from Peter Pan's Flight or Snow White's Scary Adventures? I think those would be great.

Oh , no nothing like that. Hehe , Just that I dont like space mountain , the ride in general. That was in no way pointed towards anyones custom scenery pieces at'all. You have done a good job on your set. I would'nt try to bash anyones scenery in that way.

These look really nice, and I'm glad you're sticking with the classic characters for now, although I think the Winnie the Pooh characters would be nice too. Bambi, Song of the South, even some of the classic 'shorts' characters like Claribelle the Cow and Peg-leg Pete could also be used in a ToonTown area.

That is ok , I thought you made a mistake. I found out the problem. I chose the wrong teture style in the importer. Thats why the first two are so bright and the others are dark.

Does anyone have suggestions as to what I could add to this set? Such as scenery pieces from movies , etc? Im thiking of making some of the characters animated so their arms wave.

Also , NuclearFish is helping me with particle effects so that I will be able to make the rose inside the glass case from beauty and the beast with tiny sparkles around it. :up:

Pirate ship? If I was going to include one of these , it wouldnt be 2-d. Also , no. Only the characters will be 2-d , all of the other things will be 3-d. As of now though , I can't think of much 3-d things.

Check out DKimber's alpha tutorial in the tutorial thread by jonnyears myself & dkimber.

Use the magic wand tool basically, select the background, and then Click 'Select->Inverse' then go Edit-Fill and fill that 1 colour (white for opaque) and then Go Select->Inverse, and fill that black.

That is a GREAT idea just incase someone wants to make a Sleeping Beauty ride or something... Not that I'm going to make one or anything. But if you do make those characters, I'll think about it.. Andrew I would suggest adding a very, very small "(c) Disney" text somewhere on your work to avoid any copyright issues with them.

A couple years ago a couple site I worked at had a Disneyland 50th Anniversary celebration with new scenery and stuff for rct2, and we used a lot of Disney images. We actually contacted Disney about using their characters and images and they said all should have the Disney copyright somewhere on them. It could be extremely small so to be almost un-noticable, but it needed to be there.

Maybe you could add a small one at the base of their feet or something where it doesn't show?

Of course it's custom scenery. Something does'nt have to be 3-d in order for it to be "custom scenery". Also , I plan on adding walls and other objects in this set , Im just getting these out of the way first. :up:

I tried to reach climb up and take picture but look like big book sign on the huge leaf or mushroom but can't make a good picture. do you think good for my picture to put on your custom the Alice's Book?

Thank you Rideslover! Those will help. Although , If I need more I will ask. As of now I have more work than I can handle , and working like crazy. So everyone expect a BIG pdate soon :) Also , I think I am starting a fan Disney park. It was inspired by the beautiful Disney's Menken Mania. So this means more cs pieces!

The parks set will include..

-Disney fences [fences with little mickey shaped heads on the tops of them in rows
-Beast's castle set ( I dont think disney has even made one of these in a scale model yet =] )
-Disney themed street lights / benches
-disney movie themed buildings (such as , houses from beauty and the best , aladin , pinnochio , little mermaid.. etc.)
- and TONS more.

Ok , so after a long weekend of watching all of the classic disney movies I could find , I soon went back to work on my set/park yesterday.
Here is a quick glimpse of the park I will be promoting along with the set.
Disney's WILD ADVENTURE

:) hehe Enjoy , and I hope to have the official park thread up as soon as I finish the "mini mainstreet"
(Keep in mind , this is not a recreation. This park will not include any of the lands from the actal parks [tomorrowland , frontierland , etc etc] but it will include movie themed places , such as .. Wonderland from Alice In WonderLand , Or Agrabah from Aladdin , or even NeverLand from PeterPan , all of which will have their own custom scenery set. Hope you are looking forawrd to this. :)

Lets just all settle down a bit, yes I know many CS creators do not get the credit they deserve, but you need to think, who are you creating this for? Are you making this because you want it or because you think the community wants it. If it is because you want it then ignore the bad comments from the community as this set is for you, its an added bonus that you are releasing it. Try not to get caught up on fighting and what not, it is not worth it, trust me I know and you do not wont your thread filled up with crap.

Back on track, I can't wait to try out this set. All your work looks really good.
