Welcome to Crystal Falls Lake... The parks construction if Finnaly finished (im soo glad lol). I will be running the park thru its paces to make sure that it will run as good as it looks (imho). Max guests in the park so far is 2k+ but around that point the game normally crashes.... (anyone know of a max?)
OK more about the park and a little history.(not great at this kinda of stuff so.. here goes....)
In 1876 a farmer bought the land the park sits on this day. While they worked on clearing the land to plant crops they noticed the Falls... four rivers all dumped into a large lake in the center of his land. The farmer didnt care so much as he was in the business of planting crops and selling them to the local market. Well some of the workers told thier friends of the falls and then it spread. Soon people from all over the region were going to the falls, without the farmer even knowing, and swiming in the lake. Well a few years passed and the farmer caught on to the people sneaking onto his land. Being the business man he was he figured he could turn this into a very good (and profitable) thing. He placed a small parking area and fencing up. He charged a mere 10 cents to park and swim as long as the paying customer wanted. He had no idea what he was starting.... Well after many , many expansions of the parking area and the growing intrest from the people that came, he figured out that he no longer needed to be a farmer. He began to place small carnival rides around the lake. First was a merry-go-round. It was a HUGE hit. The guests of the now "park" wanted more. They kept asking for more rides and they got them. Now the year is 2007 and Crystal Falls Lake is more popular then ever befor. This family run theme park is full of thrills for the entire family. I the Grandson of that "farmer" will give all of you a personal tour of the park and its many attractions!
Once again Welcome everyone to Crystal Falls Lake!! Enjoy your visit!
This area is the park's historical area of the park. This is where it all started! You can see the orignal theme of the park and structures. Things have changed in the others "areas" of the park.(more on that later). In this image you can see the Original giant slide that was built in 1943. We have gone over the top to keep all of the orignal rides in perfect working order!
http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/9761/oldtownslidedq3.jpg
Now if you turn around you can see "American Screamer"! This was the second ride in the park that went upside down. When we first placed it it was a huge hit and still is today!
http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/2802/asshotkh1.jpg
And the final shot of the night. "The Legend" was the first coaster in the park. Built by Arrow in 1986 it features 4 inversions and a upclose view of the falls! Enjoy!
http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/1859/legendwd1.jpg
Well thats all for now (dont want to give it all away) I hope you enjoyed the small tour for today and hope you come back again for more!
Well there is just a small park of this park.
Info on the park is...

Coasters: Well I can tell you that there is 5 coasters in the park including "The Legend".

To everyone else thanks for the comments, Keep'em comming!!
Ok back to the park?
Today we will start with a little moree indepth look at "The Legend". As you can see in this shot it is pretty much a terrain coaster because we felt that we did not want to ruin the awe inspiring view of the falls.
http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/3534/legendlayoutma0.jpg
Up next is the classic lookout tower we have in the center of the Old town. It provides a view of the entire park and is the parks Second tallest ride..
http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/9256/lookouttowerpc1.jpg
Moveing on we have a nice shot here of two of the parks most popular rides. "Ring of fire" and "Spin Doctor". Both have been thrilling guests for more then 20 years.
http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/976/rofoy1.jpg
And thats finishes out tour of Old Town. In the next tour We will be headed to Ireland and spending time in the Old irish village! Until next tour I hope you have a wonderfull day at Crystal Falls Lake

The castle is from the Max DC sets. I have like 6 differant sets all of them differant parts to make up a castle...
~LoveTulie,
The park took me about 2 months to make. Thats with 1/4 of the work having to be redone due to a bad save... backups saved me there lol!
And lag is BAD when I have all options set to max but I can still move around the park with a whopping 7fps :haha:
Sorry no more pics tonight, Will have the start of the Irish village tour on here tomarow!

Well day 3 of the tour and we are going to spend some time in the Old Irish Village. This section of the park is more for the younger members of the family. No big thrill rides here and no coaster this time. On with the tour!
First we start at the entrance of the village. We have a belltower standing in the center of a nice planter. This is a meeting spot of sorts. With the bell charming every hour, the little ones cant say they didnt know what time it was...
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/7677/ivwelcomexz7.jpg
Up next is the "Goblin". Its a fun ride and I personally still love to ride in every once in a while! The themeing for the ride makes as if you were going to slam into the walls. Its sure to please the young and old alike!
http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/5023/goblinpv1.jpg
Next up is the Bumper cars and Ferris Wheel. As you can see the landscapeing team have done a wonderfull job of placeing plenty of trees to provide some shade for the little ones.
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/4864/bcfwau7.jpg
Our first night time shot. This is of the Big Swing ride. This ride is the most "thrilling" ride in the Irish Village. The kiddies love the feeling they get when they fly into the air!
http://img462.imageshack.us/img462/4286/bigswingnightzr2.jpg
We will be headed to the Irish Castle section of the park tomarow. This section houses the parks B&M Inverted coaster named "Drachen" and The parks only dark ride "Catacombs". Until then a small teaser of the path to the castle...

Well, this looks quite good!
The building architecture is outstanding all around, it's look pretty and realistic at the same time.
The castle turned out great, I love the low-down design of it, it fits in much better with the more low-key look of the area.
I thought the shark looked a bit odd there, as there wasn't any water around or anything to suggest it belonged there...perhaps that was just the perspective of the shot though, and there is more there than we can see.
Great job so far, looks marvelous!

Your right about the perspective of the shot. Here is a angle that shows the water and how the entire coaster is over it.

I did get a nice suprise tho from the shark. I had no idea it had an animation.:haha: So it worked out better with it being right next to the line for the coaster!

The park Busch Gardens Europe comes to mind when seeing this. Not that it is a bad thing, far from it, being it is voted the most beautiful park in the World!
You Sir have a very pretty park on your hands, nice mix of scenery to create such unique buildings. What is better is the atmosphere it gives off, not many parks create such a welcoming atmosphere as this one, congrats.

Well let me start off by saying that the Irish Castle is'int home to many attractions here at Crystal Falls. But it dose house two of the parks most intesne rides. Home to Drachen and The Catacombs the Irish Castle section is a thrill seekers dream.
The entrance of the castle.
http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/6743/icentrancerm0.jpg
Here we see the entrance of The Catacombs from atop Drachens Station. Notice that Catacomb's entire ride layout is under the old gothic church.
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/4058/cataentranceoc0.jpg
Here is the gothic church from another angle to highlight some of its many fine details.
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5456/gothicchurchwv9.jpg
On with Drachen the Irish Castles main attraction. Drachen was built in 1992 by B&M coasters. It features 7 heart pounding inversions and a eighty foot sweeping first drop. It may not be a reacord breaker but it is still one of the parks best coasters.
Here we look at Drachen Entrance and station building.
http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/1116/drachenstationym8.jpg
Here is Drachens first sweeping drop, looks like fun yea?
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/996/drachenstdroprw1.jpg
Here is a shot overlooking some of Drachens layout (not going to show the entire layout:p ). Notice how intertwined the track is?
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/3375/drachenoverviewmb8.jpg
And final shot of Drachen from the lookout area. Here you can get close enough to feel the wind as the train rushes by at speed...

Thanks everyone for the wonderfull comments.

What a BEAUTIFUL park, Judge!!! INCREDIBLE!!! How's the lag now?
-Derek
Lag is "ok" (5fps and night 7-10fps during the day).. But as soon as I open the gates and let the peeps come in... forget it LOL. Takes it from a crawl to almost snail pace until my system catches up... Worst part for me is loading the park.. Takes about 7 mins to open the park up LOL
Lux_Dreaming & larry241,
I would love to post a day time shot of the entire park but I dont want to show all of my cards just yet. Besides the roman empire might get a healthy refurb when the roman CS pack is up for download.
The Fonz,
To compare my park to BGE is well... Awesome. I think it is inspired by it as I personally love that park. I was trying to make it have the same type of feel as BGE. Where you dont feel like your in a park, but feel as if your in the other country that your standing in at that point. SO thank you very much for the compareison to BGE.
~LoveTulie,
As far as inspiration BGE comes to mind as far as the overall "feel" of the park. But on a more local note my oldest son (7), really pushed me to keep going. It helps when you have support sitting right next to you lol..:haha:
Thanks everyone for the Great comments.. Also I am still looking for someone to film my rides (as I cant in rct3 and well fraps = lag...) So if you can please chime in here or PM me.. Thanks!

WoW... 1 little picture and all the responses from it LOL...
Im going to start this tour off with a plea to all of you movie makers out there. I have tried everything in the book short of placeing a camcorder in front of my pc to take videos of the coasters/track rides. Ctrl shift f11 and any other hotkey I set it as dose not work. It takes a 0byte video (course thats nothing on it). I am begging you all to help me with ride promo videos.. You'll be the second person to be able to see the park and the first person to see the 100% finished version of it.
But anyways on with the tour...
This is the Atlantis Adventure Area of the park. Once again there is no coaster here. Insted of a coaster it has the parks largest water ride "The Lost City". Here is a look at one of three entrances for the area.
http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/6512/aaentrancend1.jpg
Up next in the tour is an older zipper ride we named Atlantis Power Plant. (couldent think of a better name LOL) We still have a few problems with this ride as when we open the doors at the bottom the ones on top open... We have installed additonal lapbars to keep the peeps from falling out...:haha:
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/4521/apppicsv9.jpg
Up next a small little eating area for guests to relax and enjoy the views we offer here at Crystal Falls Lake.
http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/9595/resthl2.jpg
Up next is a night time shot of Star Gazer. This ride is sure to make you spin with delight... :bulb:
http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/4779/stargazervx5.jpg
And the Final shot of the tour for today. The splash zone for "The Lost City". We will place more images of the ride later today or tomarow morning.

I absolutely love this park as well. It does have a Busch Gardens Europe feel to it. Drachen is really cool, it reminds me of a combination of Alpengeist and Big Bad Wolf, with it flying around buildings. If the ride were real, the foot chopping effect would be great.
By the way, whats the map size for this park?

Wow.. just wow.. absolutly breath taking.
I would love to see that area with the red rooves... is it Greek or Roman by chance?
By the way.. I'll give you a more indepth comment when I have more time.. I'm in a rush now..
Its Greek and Roman.. Really the only reason I say that is because Posiedon sound better then Neptune (same god). Greek called it Poseidon and Romans called it Neptune. The main attraction is the coaster so I guess its a bit of both? And I would love to hear your imput as Im looking for ways to improve what I have built.
@ Everyone else thanks for the kind words and for the person that voted 4 star. Can you tell me what it is that dosent make it a five star? I again would love to know so I can improve whatever it is you think is holding the park back.

WOW! how come i never saw this park before! i really want a look at that roman scetion - the diagonal buildings, paths, and rapids look to form together greatly!
and that looks like a mavericl style coater to the right, am i right? looks great mind you anyway. I love it how you have the rides in the area but still hidden from eye level! i wish i could do that!
Yes Sidewinder is a double launch coaster.
On with the tour yea?...
Due to the amount of rides in Wild West section this will be a two or three part tour. During this part of the tour will be an almost overview of the area and general theme. Up next we will cover "Timber wolf" (wooden coaster) and "Buzzsaw Falls" (log flume). On with the images yea? LOL:up:
Here we can see the two coasters in the area peaking out behind buildings and the tree tops... Gets your blood flowing eh?
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/7131/ww1rg4.jpg
Another shot of the general feel of Wild West. We went to great lengths to try and rebuild the feeling of being out in the wild west..
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/364/ww2bh4.jpg
Here is a shot of the other entrance, this time from the Atlantis Adventure zone. Once again you can see just how Sidewinder jumps out from behind all of the great theme our team has built.
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/2228/midwayaw1.jpg
This is an image of the free fall ride named "Shafted". Guests seem to flock to this ride when the lines for Timberwolf and Sidewinder are full.
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/2251/shaftsl8.jpg
And a slight overview of Timberwolf the parks only wooden coaster and most twisted coaster. More on this ride along with Buzzsaw Falls in tomorrows tour.
http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/1406/twlayoutvd2.jpg
Sidewinder will have a full tour devoted to just itself. Being that it is opening this season we feel it needs the added attention... Stay tuned for more!
Thanks everyone for the comments. If anyone sees something that they feel could be better please speak up. I can take it....

Vodhin's Log cabins/ vermont theme for the rooves and walls, and Shyguy's Alpine Village set for the posts. And those 2 bridges are the coasters 2 MCBRs. I will tell you that they do NOT trim the coaster any... Just there if we need to stop a train for any reason heh.

Here it is everyone. The world debut of Sidewinder, B&M's answer to Maverick @ Cedar Point. We heard about the plans for CPs newest ride and were quick on the phone with our long time partners B&M. They wanted to build something new and this was the perfect chance for them to do just that. At a cost of almost $20M, it is the second largest budget we have spent on a coaster. (highest being Poseidon our dive coaster, more on that later) We were not sure where to place this new coaster but when someone refered to it as "sidewinder" (refering to the track layout) we knew everything from there on out. This coaster is a proud addition to Crystal falls Lake's world class coaster lineup, and we welcome you to the World debut.
Here is a shot of its first drop. Standing at 90' tall is is not the largest in the park. Infact it is the shortest coaster.. but don't let that fool you. With 4 heart pounding inversions and its 3462ft of track it will have you holding on the entire time.
http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/7771/sfdtf1.jpg
Here we have the station. We wanted the station to have the same feel as the surrounding area.
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/7186/sfdstationgp0.jpg
The next few shots are just overall shots to try and give you a feel for the coaster. As you can see the coasters is full of close calls for your heads to fly under.

Also thinking of collecting system specs from the few that have tried to open the park up to see whats needed to even get into the park... (Im thinking that would be a first yea?)
I know my system right now is a Intel core 2 dup OC'ed to 3.2GHZ with 2 gigs of ram and a 7950gt video card (256mb) and it takes me around 5 mins to load with a WD raptor HD.. Man This is going to be a ton of work to break it down into sections.... Maybe half the park/ half the park?

I think it might be a Ram issue. Might need a minimum of 1 GB of ram to open the park... Disneyland255 has 1GB i think and is going to try to get into the park now... If it requires more then 1gb then Ill have to cut it in half or something.. Altho I am wondering why its 12mbs now that CDN1212 said most parks are under 3mbs...

What Ill do is have 2 dls for the park.. 1 will be the full park as it is and the other will ahve it broken into 4 sections (as best I can) The second one will be later then the first due to the amount of work ill have to do to break it down...

WOW Judge this park has not ceased to amaze me in every way possible this deserves 5 stars and   and do you think 2.4 ghz 2 gig ram and 256 dedicated video on a PCI express will run this park well If it can't this park is still Awesome

OK Judge..send it to me..
I can receive 20mb e-mails....so zip it up...I've got a P-4 Dual Core...with 200GB HD and 4GB DDR RAM...and Banyan Hill in its' current state is 7 mb.....and with the settings at 1280 x 960 (or whatever the 12 x 9 setting is) I'm still getting over 75 fps during the day, and 60 fps at night...in play mode.
I think my machine can handle it.
I think the key is the HD..I crawled in other parks before I upped my HD space (sadly, I only had 40GB and only 5GB of it was free space...now I have about 175GB free space to operate from).
EDIT: Thanks for that ATH.

OK...Judge sent me the park.... it took about 7 minutes to load it....I had to turn the specs down from my normal building (1280 x 960...or something) to 800 x 600 32Bit to properly look at and ride the rides in this park.....WWWWWOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!! I got about 15 fps during the day, and didn't even venture turning on night mode.
Some thoughts...the coasters were top notch....you really should be designing for GCI or B&M....seriously.....your rides are that good.
You have WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY too many trees in your park...in fact, I was able to get about 30 fps by simply removing about half of your trees.........this is not RCT2. The ground texture in this game is not so ugly that it needs to have every square filled....a little breathing room goes a long way....and in peep mode, you can't see a difference...viewing this was a lesson to me as well...I've gone through and deleted a good chunk of extranious trees from Banyan Hill.
The architecture was lovely...question....in the Roman section....was there supposed to be something covering the blocky pathways leading up to the rounded flower beds? If so, I must not have that CS set...which one is it from? Your rapids ride was superb. Your cathedral was amazing, and again...your coasters were A+!!!!!!
Thanks for letting me test it.......if you don't have a VERY strong comp.....forget about even being able to open this puppy...
BTW...how large is the park......it seems HUGE!!!!

This is great news to hear! I am so glad you were able to get it open and hopefully functional. What you described sounds wonderful, especially about the coasters and rapids.

Thank you soo much for letting me know it worked for you...:up:
Didn't even think about the trees (yes I am used to rct2 LOL).... I will take some out and help speed up the park. The pathway was/is HERE (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=547005). I think thats the pathway cover for that section. (altho without looking at it i may not have used a cover) Its the conforming ones. And the park is 120x120, anymore and the Lag would have killed it for me.... I think I answered all of your questions LOL...
BTW what coaster did you like the most? Im split between Sidewinder and Timber Wolf... (I love a good twister in RL)
As far as updates With survivor phase one finished and whatnot I may have the roman section on tour sometime this week.

Timber Wolf was my favorite coaster...followed by Poseidon...I really dug the inversions before the MCBR...very creative....really that's only 120 x 120....sh*%....I may be removing more than trees with Banyan Hill then...as I think my park is 100 x 100.....crap.
Anyway.....thanks for the link to the path covers.....It was strange...when I was zoomed out, I just thought it was a draw distance thing, but then zoomed in, the paths were very blocky up until the track beds...I really loved the gradual sloping in that area.....very sharp....also, did you use Max Infinity's castle walls? I removed that set due to the error I kept getting with it...that would explain why the Ireland section looked a bit off......finally...the one section of the park that always crawled was around The Legend...not sure why...but I couldn't ride the coaster, even with my settings turned down...it was pretty to look at though. How on earth did you build with the lag..you must have kept the settings at minimum while buildling, right?
Anyway, great park, thanks for sharing.

Yea the castle walls I used was the Max Inifinity set.. Sorry you have problems with the set... Shame you cant see the park with everything in it...
I would agree on Timber Wolf.. I love how that coaster is.. Poseidon was a tad over the top dont ya think? LOL... It is a God of a coaster tho...
As far as settings. I built 90% of the park with max settings.. the western area I had to turn off shadows is all to pick the FPS back up out of the red. I can ride Legend but your right about the lag.. Thinking its because of all the water and whatnot..
But look for an update to the thread tonight as the bugs have been worked out thanks to yourself and many other members. ROMAN TOUR WILL be up within the hour... :D

Well with all of the bugs worked out on with the tour yea? :D
After the roman CS set was finished I thought about going back in and changing the roman section. That didnt happen. I think the roman set is great but I dont have the time to redo an entire area with Rl and survivor jumping all over me..
This part of the tour will cover the Roman area. The areas main attraction is the Dive coaster named Poseidon.. We know that Poseidon was the Greek name for the god of the sea. But we felt that Poseidon was a better name then Neptune..:D.
Here is a shot at one of the two entrances to the Roman Empire from inside of the park.

Here we have an shot of the grand fountian resting in the very center of the area... In the backround you can see a great shot of the lookout tower resting in Old Town..

Here is a nice view from the exit ramp of the Roman Rapids.(yes I know BGE has a roman rapids... LOL)

Here is the final shot of the tour for today. This is of the entrance area to the rapids and shows some of its layout.

I really don't know what to say.. and I can't really nitpick either.. so this post is completly worthless except for praising your amazing work. The rapids layout is hands down amazing. I have tried so many times to get a layout I'm happy with on that damn ride.. but it is impossible for me.. And I am so excited for that one hell of a beast you call Poseidon.

Wow!
Can't see anything to crit here, it's gorgeous!
The look of it reminds me very much of the Disney Hercules film...a beautiful carciture of Greek life!..
Actually, there's a crit..the Roman name would be Neptune...Poseidon was the Greek name..;)
EDIT: You explained that already...boo me for skimming..:(
Just wonderful looking..(again!)

I'm sorry but why would you post something so incredibly amazing? Was it because you wanted to make us gawk at the unbelievable detail of every section in the park, or because you just wanted to show off? Either way, I'm giving you a standing ovation...despite the fact I'm sitting down and typing ;)
I only wish I had your talent and patience. The lag alone would kill me. Yay! I'm sooooo watching this. Watch out...your thread has a new stalker :weird:

This Park is about 300,000,000,000 times better than Disney and 1,000,000 times better than Cedar Point. The coasters are surperb the theaming is perfect and it captivates any one that ever sees it.

brilliant! i love the diagonallyness of it all! and its layered up to by the looks of that viewing point photo. Rapids look fun (hopefully wet) and cant wait to see Poseidon, is it that big coaster running along the back? I thought that was some sort of Hypercoaster with a vertical drop lol, most dive machines have a curve at the top of the lift for tension
