Well I am making my second CS set.
They are a set of short thick walls to line youre walkways and gardens.
Use TNS-Sit-On-It CS set with the walls so Peeps can sit on them.

Definitivly a set that I want 100% use. Looks absolute great. And that the peeps can sit on them, makes it absolute realistic.:up::up::up::up:

BTW: Nice combination with my hedges in the second pic.

great idea tnstickboy70, allowing people to sit on the walls, its pure genius. I don't know why no one else has thought of it, great work.

Very nice idea mate! May I suggest adding curved and diagonal pieces, as they would be awfully handy on curved paths and planters.

Loveley!
Can you have a brick texture like the one Shyguy has?
I am working on that. I am having a problem with the dump program. I can't get the full texture set. The wall comes out verry dark. But I will figure this out and I intend to have the brick and tile walls to match ShyGuy's set (with permission).

I am working on that as we speak. Just a few more adjustments to make and there wil be diagonal path walls. Curved walls are in the planning stage. I am tryimg to match them up with the existing path cover CS.

I'd love big sweeping turns... as stated earlier, like Cook's Trackbeds... we've come accustomed to using them as 'path curvers' (for lack of a better term)... and having a set like this would be a huge leap forward in that department. Don't limit the curves to what can be done only on a single tile. Give us big sweeping curves to use! We demand it! :haha:

Great work so far... keep it up!

Diagonal path walls. This is a split wall. one half sits on one edge of the path and the other half
sits on a different path edge. This way 4 peeps can sit on the wall. But waiting for peeps to sit
down so I can take a pic is realy time consuming. I just need to adjust the texture a bit.
(I think I got the two pieces reversed from one another)...

that looks awsome, although the spiky wall might feel a little uncomfortable... lol
Those are my rulers to help me mesure and line things up.

The split wall is now just one wall.

I was making a set for the path and a set for off the path in defferent textures..
Now I have just one set for each texture that the Peep Efect points can be added to.

You can place the wall and then place the Peep Efect Point inside the wall.
If you turn down the draw distance for the buildings the Points will show when
the walls disapear so you can see where you put the points at.

It will look a little funny with peeps sitting flat on deeply slanted walls , now would'nt it?

Not that reason, just seems silly having a gap between two flat bits of terrain because of a slope.

Don't forget to add pieces which align to terrain.
Done. (the first piece I made)
It will look a little funny with peeps sitting flat on deeply slanted walls , now would'nt it?

You don't have to put the efect points in the sloped wall.

the walls by themselves are not benches. The little triangle planes are placed inside them to turn them into a bench.

these are about half hight (.48u)

there is Scenery and Custom Scenery 1h (.2u thick) and higher already in game as regular walls which these Garden Walls match.

I love the little triangle things. Does this mean we can place these triangles just about anywhere , or on any piece of scenery, and make a bench out of it now???

Curved walls with matching effect point triangles may be a possible addition. (In experimental stage)
4 grid squares is equel to 1 game square.
The large inside curve (Purple) has 46 faces and the large outer curve (Green) has 130 faces.
they both had 130 faces when I started. I am still working on getting the polygons down.

I love the little triangle things. Does this mean we can place these triangles just about anywhere , or on any piece of scenery, and make a bench out of it now???

This set is great. excellent work.

Those triangle things are the actual bench. they can be placed in anything that they line up with.
The triangle pieces are attached to the path outside edge.

Will you be making quarter or half fences also (quarter-tiled) too. This would give more variety.

tnstickboy70

Will you be making quarter or half fences also (quarter-tiled) too. This would give more variety.

I noticed the need for the half piece today and will have to add it. It will be comming in the set. as far as a quater piece I don't know yet possibly with the curve set.

Curve set ? you may ask.
I will release the straight walls and then later when the curves are done then I will releaase set 2 - Garden Curves. Or something like that. I don't want one set to get too big. The Garden walls are up to 60 pieces pluss 7 effect point pieces.

All I have to do with set 1 is texture some corner pieces and make half pieces.
and also make 4 efect point pieces. about 16 pieces in all left to do. I also need to test everything and make Icons for the set. I have 1 Icon done and 68 left to do.

BTW all pieces are 1/4 placement except for the conforming piece.

EDIT: half pieces finnished and imported.(not tested yet.)

http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6034/cornerbrickhq4.jpg

I added Half tile walls. They also are positioned on the 1/4 tile grid.
I have finnished them in all of the curently done 6 textures.

I also made corner pieces and Sit on ... efect points for corners.
The corner pieces match the shape of Aceana's Pavement ESSENTIALS corner pieces.
the pieces in Aceana's packs are slightly larger than the grid square. I matched them up as best as I could.
I think they came out prety good.

What do you think?

tnstickboy70
05-18-2007, 07:00 AM
No download yet [WIP]

The set is in the final stages of compleation. Yhe large curves will not be included in this set.
Thay will be in a future set called TNS-Garden Curves. To include them in this set would make it too large and take too long to release. I think it is best to get this set out so all of those peeps out their can enjoy it while I work on the curves and a few other things.

Sorry but, quality takes some time.

One think, is the two pieces behind the diagnal really necassary?

Like it's getting rid of the diagnal wall feel

The Diagonal and the straight pieces are seperate from each other. You don't have to use them together if you don't want to.
I used them there because the land is raised and they hide the face of the land and outline the flowerbeds.
And utill we come up with diagonal flowerbeds I will most likely continue makeing my flower beds on the corners like this. I looks worse in my opinion without the straight pieces to border the beds.

You can try them out and see wich looks best for you when the set comes out. :)

ytivarg
05-25-2007, 01:45 AM
Well, you could snap the land down on those edges to blend it a bit better... ;) But.. these are amazing.. can't wait for release!

Concrete tile wall to match the entrance(Art Deco / SandBox Entrence)
Plus another small item I am working on for a future set.

I was just showing why I had those pieces there and that they were seperate from the diagonal. The whole point of me making these walls is so I could have raised flowerbeds at bench hight. But, They don't have to be used just for that. They can be placed anywhere and are 1/4 tile placement. But, they are just under 1/2h so I don't think they will be much use for building upwards. And they have no bottom faces on them.

I hope everyone will enjoy them when they are finnished.

I have just a few mor to do and then the Icons and they are done. :)

I have completed all models and imported them all.

While playing with it a bit I discovered that I needed to make a whole lot more sit - on - it points.

all pieces work on a 1/4 tile placement. Benches can't do that. So I have made offset points and far points so that peeps can sit on walls placed 1/2 square away from the path. All that was unexpected and took some time to work out. I have a few more left to do while I test.

Once I get all the extra points done and their icons I will give a few a set to test for me for a few days to find anything I missed then It will be released. :)
