Tell ya what....Surfingoz has written and video tutorials on how to texture and import objects, useing SketchUp! I use the same modeling program, and I started making CS a month ago, and I'm about an hour away from completeing my first set with 26 pieces to it,and working on the second set. Which will probably be released at the end of MAY.(BOTH SETS)
Surfingozs' tutorials helped me out alot! Check it out first and then try, and if you still can't get the hang of it then, ask again. BUT.....It all depends on what you are wanting also. Good luck!

@kylr23- if you need any help or have any questions about making custom scenery, then feel free to PM me or post a thread. Their are always people that will help you out until you have got the basics mastered.

P.S. Once you get your first object in the game you will realize how mush easier it is than you think. Obviously their are always things that will get you stuck along the way but as I said before their is always someone to help you out.
