Hi everyone as you may or may not know I already have a couple of other sets on the go, but I decided that I needed this one more urgently so I will complete this then continue work on the others. Well I guess you are waiting to here what the main concepts of this set are. I am planning on creating a Mine ride called OzMountain, I am creating a large CS set of mountains to go with this ride. I will also be adding some extra individual tunnel pieces, their will be fully enclosed, canyons, corners, s-bends, straight pieces and many more.

Time for some Pictures of the Main Mountain.
These are in order of how I constructed them.

I am currently looking for a good texture, any ideas.

Interested in making your own custom scenery set but just don't know how to, well then it's time to learn. Click the top link in my signature and then go to tutorials.

Oh heavens, SurfingOz, that's already awesome! I hope it imports without problems! Are those actual track layouts to drop coaster track on?

By the way, did you build that grid for this scenery, or is that a grid that one can download for RCT3 reference?

Oh, and thank you for your reply the other day and your excellent SketchUp tutorials.

Thanks ThingMaker I'm glad you like it so far, I have just imported. It imports ok, I found that one piece seems to be faulty:( (I made this in several sections so it does not overload the game to much), I will hopefully be able to fix it soon. Yes they are track layouts, the coaster fits perfectly on them.:D

As for the grid I just put it together for this set, its really easy to do it is just 4mX4m.

Here's the in-game shots.

You may notice that in a few of the pictures some parts of the model is invisible, this is because I still have to finish the interior pieces. Just remember that this part of the set is not really customizable, but I am going to add the canyons, rocks and what ever other ideas I come up with.

All comments and criticism are welcome.

Wow, considering this is the first draft in RCT3, it's working out REAL beautifully! I can't believe how you manged to align the rocky downward spiral section.

I am currently working on a spread sheet that has all the heights, depths and widths for different coaster pieces. Once I complete this I will put on my site so that others can view it.

Thanks coasterfreak, hopefully this will make a great park addition.

Thanks AvA, it took a while to figure out the alignment but it was certainly worth it. Now I just need to work on deleting the supports on the coaster.

Look out for some tunnel and canyon pieces, these will hopefully be my next update. I want this set to contain pieces of scenery that can do want the terrain can not do. This set is aimed to combine scenery with coasters, I love to build coaster and it's an added bonus if you can add scenery to make it a better experience.

If anyone has requests for terrain pieces feel free to ask and also I am looking for heaps of textures. Textures I need are listed below(I can make textures seamless if someone can help me find some really good ones).

Wood slats and plain
tin roofing
shingles
rock/cliff
stone walls
stone flooring
rustic metal(for old mining pieces)

Wow, a whole CSO Mountain just for one Ride! But you need to correct the Texture a bit, the vertical Faces are all a bit badtextured.

The texture is like that because in the importer I set it to "terrain texture"(this means the object uses the terrains texture), I have not UV mapped any textures as of yet which is causing this so once I get some good textures I will fix this problem.

It probably does seem a bit insane all this for one ride, but I find that recently I have mainly been making one or two rides not an entire park, I grow bored with making a park and I get annoyed with lag. Basically for a park I aim to have at least one very good ride.

looks great, especially the spiral stone is a great idea. As I saw the first scetchup-pic I think you will do some icebergs. Maybe you could release the set with different textures (stone, ice).

Great idea RCT-Spanky, It will look good with different textures. I'll start too look for some textures now.

Just so that you all know what I am trying to accomplish with this set, I am aiming to have the main set of mountains that you can see in the pictures above, a group of tunnels and valleys(surrounding slopes with open top), heaps of rocks, mountains, cliff faces and now Ice Bergs.

This was something that I have been waiting for for the longest time.

If you could make tons of small pieces to fit under, over, to the left, and right of any kind of coaster track piece, this would be the best.

I mean as in really allow people to do custom stuff with this set. What I am planning to do is pretty much similar to the Matterhorn. Speaking of that, it might also be cool to do some ice caverns.
