Six Flags Thrillville-New Patriot layout & new park logo [Archive]

Iowa- A private park owner has announced that they have sold their property, Thrillville, to Six Flags. Six Flags reports that they are very happy to have aquired this property and are going to give their all to make this park great. I was very greatful to beable to go to the park and I was very impressed with what I saw, especially considering that Six Flags has only owned the park for a little while. Six Flags is proud to announce Six Flags Thrillville.

Anyway, as for the park, I wouldn't have gone with ThrillVille in the park name. That seems like an invitation for a flamin' seeing how poorly ThrillVille was accepted in this community. But the coaster is nice, although the terrain around it could be better.

i dont know where they are at financially, but selling half of their parks had to help somehow? cedar fair is like the wal-mart of amusement parks except theydont suck like wal-mart does

Anyway, beside the story, it looks OK. It could use a little more detail around the coaster, namely themeing, and the coaster itself needs a lot of work. I don't ever recall seeing a coaster go in a square like that. Make some twists, turns, what ever it takes to make it exciting.

Anyway, It looks to me as if you got too excited to build a coaster and did just that. But you didnt take the time to build a store, maybe some BATHROOMS, and maybe, just maybe, some ticket booths?

Oh this park is not the worst but holy crud not the best and I was wondering about that super thanks for pointing it out and I have to agree with ytivarg and all the other people that you really need to redo the storyline and the coaster because Cedar Fair.......Six Flags not totally in love with that mix.

If you want to keep "Patriot" going around the lake like that, might I recommend one small and easy retracking idea. You have the helix out of the station to the right, then the next turn is left. Now, instead of turning left again, make another helix to the right.

But since it's Six Flags... "We can't be bothered, lets just tear it down and throw down some black top. Must cut down all trees and lay black top."

The layout is better but it seems so many forget that you can have track going diagonal. That (IMO) really helps break up the "grid" system all of the rct games use. I dunno its better but could be MUCH better with more time spent on it...

The layout of the coaster is not bad. I think maybe one reason it looks just a bit out of sorts is because it is going around the lake.

I understand the idea but have you considered having it behind the lake with other things along the shore as well? It might give you more options going forward as well.

You could put more rides around the lake, a boardwalk, shops, buildings, any number of things really.

Not this exactly of course but one nice thing about water is the reflections and views you can create around it. If peeps can't walk by the water then the views are wasted.

Good work deaconnor, I liked your other park though, I loved Batman, maybe u should make another one? Anyway I would like to see some scenary around Patriot, but I like what u did with Nathans hot dogs, makes me wanna come visit some day. Keep it up man

EDIT: I stand corrected, u cant really put scenary around Patriot as there are too many trees in the way. Like Patriots though, very nice:D
