My uncle knows this guy who works near Coney Island who said that everything exept for Nathan's, the Wonder Wheel, and the Cyclone are going down, which has already been confirmed true.
Now, what I also heard is that Disney has something to do with this. I'm thinking that it's gonna include a Downtown Disney area, a hotel, and a small Paradise Pier type park.
I don't know about this, but I really think Disney's doing something.

Maybe, but it could be another rumor.

I searched for any information on it and it seems this rumor has been around for over 5 years now. I would like to see some proof before I believe anything though.
It's possible... but likely? Not sure...

I'm tired of all the Disney rumors! I wish they would just announce it if they are going to build something. But that's not how Disney does it cause then hotels and all these tourists would be popping up all over the place. Even if they did do something in Coney Island it wouldn't effect me much since I've never been.

There was this announcement a long time ago saying that they were gonna build small "cliche" parks, small downtown areas, and hotels at major cities. I don't know exactly what's happening, but Disney always keeps quiet with every single thing, which usually ends with them actually doing something, so, who knows?

Not so much, from what i've heard anyways. Apperantly, it is a third party developer that will build a so-called "Megaresort" in Coney. Though, that could be them puttin' on a show to drive entusiasts up the wall, and it could be it. I've heard that a new coaster will be added, steel I believe. Doubt it, though, Disney would NOT build in (sorry if this may be offensive) one of the world's most predominant slums (that based on personal experience). Let us see, let us see...

My message to big resorts: Leave coney island alone, its a historical location that shoud'nt be spoiled.I mean, that'll be tearing down 100 years of history and memories.

The Mob wouldn't let the Mouse in on their turf, it would cause a war, too similar of business practices.

If Disney takes over the world then the apocalypse will come and Jesus will fight Walt Disney to his ultimate defeat. So it is written in Revelations.
