Hello, I hate to come here under these circumstances and not under happiness but I am becoming extremely agitated with what is going on here. I need to activate this game manually because I don't have an internet connection at the moment. So I go ahead and put in the unlock code that they gave me which seemed very small to me. I aim to find out why I can't get an informative answer as to how to get my product activated. In order to activate my product manually, I need an unlock code. The unlock code they keep giving me is just a promotional code used to get a 25% discount on my next online purchase. I have emailed Customer service many times and all they do is reissue a new serial number used to install the game and give me a new promotional code. So I phone them, they don't even seem to know what I am talking about, which leads me to beleive they have no idea what THEY are talking about. Above the unlock code is a request code. With my experience with request codes is that you email these to a customer service agent and they will use that number to give me an unlock code. By simple deduction I have concluded that the unlock code is an 8 group number with each group containing 4 digits. Ei: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
So there is some obvious miscommunication here that I would like to be clarified with someone who knows the system.

Try reading threw the manual, cover to cover. Also check for a seperate card in the box, look in the DVD area and see if it is on the disc. Basically, double check everything that came with the game.

Didn't throw anything away did you?

How were you able to download the game without an internet connection?

Anyways yes the second code is a promotional coupon code and the first longer code is your Activation Key and your CD Key.

If you need manual unlock them call DR Support or send them an email via http://www.atari.com/cs I believe there is even a button that says request manual activation on the activation screen.

Oh and to fill people in, I never bought the game on the shelves, I bought it via the internet and used the download thingy.

Well lets just say I HAD internet.. (couldn't keep up payments on my internet bill and had to get it cut off for a while. Figured this would be my last download for a while.)

At any rate, I called DR support and like I said, they don't seem to understand what I am saying. I told them about the manual activation and the unlock code and the request code and all that, and it seemed like they thought I was a mental case and their best solution was for me to get a refund.

And as I can tell there is only one button that has anything to do with "manual activation" in the activation screen. Its at the top and it is a part of a series of buttons. Ei:
"I have purchased the game and I need to activate it" "Buy it" "Try it" (which is not active) and "Manual activation" which highlights the bottom of the activation screen which shows the request code and right below it, the unlock code box. And thats about it.

OK can you PM me your order number, email, full name, etc so that I can send them an email directly and have then contact you. Also please send me your manual unlock code.

Lastly did you buy this here at Atari?

Are you sure there is no way for you to get internet access anywhere nearby even for a second?

Wait I'm confused...

How are you able to post on this forum if you don't have internet access?
