View Full Version : Austin, TX - amusement parks

Hi everyone (been a while since I've been on!).
I'm going to Austin, Texas next month for a few days with a friend, and was wondering if there are any theme parks there or very nearby? I know there is the Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, and by a quick mapping it is only an hour and 12 minutes away. Looked online for their prices. $46.99 for a day (wow), or save $7 if you buy online. I didn't see any listing for an 'after 5 pm' deal or anything similar. Anyone know if they do that? As we most likely won't be able to spend a whole day there if we get to go, plus I'm on a tight budget!
So, would love to know if there are any theme parks in the area, or more info on SFFT. Hey, while I'm there I might as well take the opportunity to try & visit a park! :)

No, SFFT or SFOT in Arlington are your best bets.

This is just me going by rcdb.com's coaster census report which doesn't list any coasters in Austin

Oh, I didn't think of looking up Sea World....on their site now, wow, Journey To Atlantis looks awesome!! Going to check out the rest of the site to see their rides & ticket $$$.

I rather liked Sea World San Antonio.

Also, Schlitterbahn Water Park is near San Antonio. The water coasters in the new part of Schlitterbahn are really fun and are definitely worth the visit. I wasn't too impressed with the old part of the park, however.

whoa whoa whoa Atlantis is at Sea World Orlando but there is Great White and Steel EEL and the prices are the same as Fiesta Texas unfortuneatly....unless your 9 then the price drops 10$ i know this because i went two years ago when i was 11 and had to pretend i was 9 for the day...but thats another story
