Many years this place has been doing good, it has a boomerang coaster, it is currently a darkride captiol IMO, since wildwood kinda died. It has two historical darkride and funhouse, that you guys plobally heard me talk about. The haunted House, The pirates cove. Including there 100 year old carousel, and many other old rides, this place had the amthsphere, it felt like going through time having fun. Now due to tax ploblems the Ocean City Maryland's Trimper's rides are going to be knocked down for parking lot for the ugly develpment!!! I am shooken as I been there every year since I was born, 1992. Now this place won't be good any more. This is terrible news for me

This may mean i may retire my title as a darkride maker and a boardwalk maker so say bye to all of that guys!!!:(

What I am shocked is that these things are "cash cows" for the people who own them, especially since it is the "Thing to do" during summer nights.

Unfortunately, the owners feel they can make more year-round money with other ventures on the waterfront.

In the case of Steel Pier, the park owners want to remain, but Donald Trump is kicking them out in order to redevelop the pier.

Not the end of all boardwalks. Another boardwalk is just being build in Kemah, Texas. This will be home to the new wooden coaster The Boardwalk Bullet, built by Gravity Group. This coaster will have the most crossovers and bridges of any wooden coaster adding to Gravity Groups record breaking thrills.

the only reason i know about the boardwalk bullet is because i'm a fan of Gravity Group coasters. this will be the closest gravity group coaster because i live in california and the only coaster we have is ghostrider, which is decent. Ghostrider is built by Custom Coasters International, but they got bankrupt and msot of their employees went to gravity group.

Being an NJ native and someone who visits and enjoys the piers am sad to see another one go (Coincidently, Im listening to Springsteen's "Atlantic City" as I type this). That is one thing AC needs to escape from all the casinos.

As of now, the only real piers I know of left are the 3 Morey's Piers, and Casino and Funtown Piers in Seaside. There is also Jenkinson's but you cant call that a boardwalk since it isnt like the others (mini amusement park in Point Pleasent that they call a boardwalk)

EDIT There are some piers still left in the AC (Tivoli and Million Dollar Piers). There is also Gillians Pier in Ocean City
