You can't own someones voice.:rolleyes: Music is licensed by other company's and ATARI is to poor for that.

I mean since FUNIMATION finally released those season box sets of the show with both japanese music AND english voice actors at the same time, not to mention uncut and in widescreen...then theres a pretty good chance we'll finally get the japanese music in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 right? Heh if that happens, thats gonna be a day one purchase for me. Fighting a battle with the "Cha la head cha la" theme in the background or any of the other classic japanese fighting themes is too good to pass up.

Well, the japanese version of BT2 had the complete Japanese soundtrack so all they'd have to do is make that the music for the U.S. version.

But anyway....I'll have to NOT sign this petition. I hate the the japanese music with a passion, but I love Faulconer's and Levi's scores. (Levi did the Pioneer episodes of 1-53 while Faulconer did the Funimation episodes from 54-294)

While those songs are cool as well I admit, Atari never uses music from either version of the anime. They just use stuff created by Okatron (which I think is part of Funimation...but im not sure).

Music does not need understanding of the language to enjoy. Heck there arent even any lyrics besides the title songs. And you cant deny the opening BGM for Budokai 2 and 3 on the PS2 were great. Those were from the jp versions of the game, minus the lyrics.

Well they do sound infinitely better than the english ones though so playing over and over isn't a bad thing...and there were like 20 different songs so you dont' ever get bored.

Three things:

1. Petitions don't work (as you yourself have stated)
2. The game is already nearing completion.
3. Japanese music is too expensive, and if Atari did nearly backrupt themselves getting it, it wouldn't increase or decrease sales, so they would have just wasted a lot of money on making hardcore fans who would have brought the game anyway a bit more happy.

Also I refuse to believe the japanese music is THAT much more expensive to have in the game. Seriously, they could get financial help from Funimation since they are already cooperating for the english VA's and im sure Funimation sees profit from the North American DBZ games.

When they say Japanese music, they meant the instrumentation. The only one with lyrics is the main theme song which I love while others can't (which I respect in their views yet still they should learn to love it:D)

Cha la head cha la would've been great in the original Budokai 1's opening, especially since it was a direct 3d representation of the original JP opening. I'd like to see We gotta power! used in one of the future game's openings. Then again even Super Dragon Ball Z didnt have that new remix of head cha la for the opening like it was supposed to.

YA I KNOW:eek:!!!! I was so saaad. I mean I saw the Japanese CM clips on Youtube and had CHA-LA in it and it looked so cool:D Now to see the intro on the PS2 with that song would be great:D!! Since the original one on DVD is in MONO and the song is like remastered on the PS2 :(

God yes nothing against atari, this would give us "old skool" DBZ fans the perfect experience. A little history on me and DBZ, in 94' was it? I used to buy Dragon Ball bootleg videos from this shop in chinatown for $5 without subs and craptactular visuals and have been a fan ever since. This was way back when I was really into any anime I could find since it wasn't mainstream back then.I accepted the voices (even Goku's) and thought the music fit the show perfectly. By comparison, I did like the US intro song and updated visuals, but found voices (Vegeta), dialogue, and bgm pitiful. Because of that (Voices) never bought Budokai1 and 2. I know some may see that as narrow minded but I've got a legion of Naruto fans who feel my pain on those games, "Believe it!". Budokai 3 GH kinda let me relive my original impression of DBZ. Now If the same could be done for the music then I could justfy preordering as opposed to waiting for a GH of BT3.
