Yes, I have been on Roller Coasters before, and for the most part, like them. But the thing that scares me is the coasters breaking down. Whenever I am in line, for any coaster, I always feel worried the coaster will break or some freak accident will happen, and feel like turning back. How do I solve this? Please Help!

I'm confused, do you mean in real life or on RCT3 because if you mean on RCT3 , there is a cheat to prevent any of your rides breaking down. Just type in one of the peeps names in your park as Frontier and that should then Work.

I think it's pretty obvious he means real life...
Don't worry lakersfan, rollercoasters don't break down that often...when they do though it's nearly always fatal, and results in horrific casualties, burns, broken bones, severed limbs etc. Hope I could help ;)

Dont worry lakersfan. Demented is just fooling with you. Roller coasters DO break down sometimes, But Its not usually fatal. Most of the time its something like the lift hill motor going kaput. So every time that you feel like turning back, Remember the facts, And you should be OK.

Fact: you're more likely to die driving to the theme park than you are to die on a coaster.
On antoher note, it's fact that you're more likely to die putting trousers on and falling over than in an aeroplane.

That's right...it really isn't fatal EVERY time, more often you are just left maimed and it's amazing what they can do with skin grafts nowadays. Besides their insurance payout (ka-ching!) should cover most of your medical bills and even have enough left over for pizza and a movie with your new live-in nursing aide (remind them to bring along the blender and a straw for the pizza...).
Yes, you should remember the facts...you know that recent movie where the rollercoaster car went flying off the track 100 feet in the air and dumped everyone out? Based on fact!
I'm sure you'll be fine, four out of five States require regular inspections of all coasters, so your odds aren't all that bad.

See what you started demented? I place the blame squarely on you for shattering this person's dreams of ever riding a coaster fearlessly in the future, you forced us to post to whole awful truth about this dangerous - and largely unregulated - 'thrill' ride.

Your chance of dying or being hurt on a coaster is in direct proportion to your level of intent to defeat the safety measures on the ride.
Most of the fatalaties on coasters are due to riders doing just that.

As Skipper aluded to, most accidents on roller coasters are due to human error, such as riders failing to follow the rules. So, be sure you follow the rules! Inattentive ride operators can also be a factor. Watch the operators -- if they're not paying attention to their jobs and the operation of the ride, consider bypassing that ride.
Even taking human error into account, you have far better odds of winning the Lotto than an amusement ride causing you any injury requiring hospitalization or death.
If this helps, as of Sunday, I've been on 628 different roller coasters in 182 amusement parks -- the worst injury I've incurred was a bruise on my elbow from riding Thunderbolt at Kennywood in 2000. (I just rode Thunderbolt again on Friday -- no bruises this time because I adjusted how I hold my arms on that ride!) I usually get on between 100 and 200 different coasters per year, for somewhere around 1000+ total coaster rides each year (although I've not really kept track of how many times I ride each coaster, so that's just an estimate), and, at 40 years of age, I'm still breathing!
