Kali Injuries

I heard on the news that 6 people(including a cast member) were injured on kali river rapids in Animal Kingdom. Is this true and what happened?

I got the whole story. Kali broke down and a raft almost before the 15ft drop had to "evacuate". Well, they went on the emergency exit going over the water and it collapsed. This caused injury and bruises...

Thanks Skip! I didn't see that when i posted. I'll be sure to read it as I'm very confused how you could get injured on a calm rapids ride.

The 15ft drop is right after the burning rain forest. The ride is really short and it's the only part you get wet.

Um... actually the accident occured at the top of the lift hill. The drop after the burning forest is 35 feet, not 15. The lift hill drop is 15 feet. The evac platform they used failed and apparently dumped everyone onto the track somehow.

I realized that it was 35ft after i posted. I got confused with the very first version when there were 3 drops each about 10-15ft. I've never ridden it because i've heard that it's definatly not worth the wait.

I've really enjoyed it when I've been on it. The drop is very cool... it's probably my 2nd favorite. I would recommend riding it when the lines are short, but it's worth it.
