Step Right up , step right up , to Andrew's funfilled FUNHOUSE set! Lots to see ,lots to enjoy!

Well , as you can see , I don't really need to express the theme of this set any longer. After long condsideration to if I should start another set , I agreed to it. I hope for this set to be bigger than My last one .
Noww , Onto more imporntant matters. Pictures.

Here is the icon sheet that I've got so far , alot more things to be added of course. Alot of these things did'nt make it passed the importer because of technical difficulties.

If any of you have seen Cirque Phantasmogorie , you probably would have noticed Fisherman's clown right off. Well this is because we have come to an agreement , that he will allow me to create all of his clowns , if I credit him properly and then some. Sooo! I present to you , Fisherman's Jack-in-the-box! There will be a large , medium and smaller version of all of these , for more versatality.

Has anyone seen the classic king kong prop in some of the older funhouse's? Here you go. :)

He even attaches to the city building walls! Hoorah! :bored:

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o287/andrewhurley/Shot0314.jpg

Everyone hail to the pumpkin king. :respect:

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o287/andrewhurley/Shot0317.jpg

Some random tombstones..(too big)

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o287/andrewhurley/Shot0311.jpg

Some random skull entrance... Needs to be wider , to fit walls and such.

This is really cool. Do you have any plans for what your going to make?

Yes I do ,

1.) An upside down room set , which is being imported as we speak.
2.) Some typical fun house stunts.. Whacky mirrors, crooked walls ,
3.) some other needed dark ride elements..
4.)A few facades.

Which reminds me , If ANYONE has any pictures of funhouse or dark ride facades that are good quality , please show me , I may be able to make them.

No , I did not make the pumpkins , they come with the game. Anyway , I'm afraid this set is in danger.
I post a set , and noone comments. I'm not getting angry because "Oh look at me , noone is posting "OMG THAT LOOKS AWESOME" . I am angry because noone comments period. What I am saying is , How am I supposed to update , or even RELEASE this set without people posting. When noone posts , I am left to double post , which means I get an infraction , like I did for double posting an update on my last project. Why should I get an infraction , for trying to help out the community by giving out this scenery set?
I am not trying to sound spoiled , I am simply upset , all this for the community , and I am left with 0 feedback , and 1 infraction.
Expect no more scenery from me , unless things change. This is sickening.

I am starting to think some of the people on the community are becoming a little spoiled. I understand not everyone is online ALL the time , for me to post and update.
I realize I only started this thread today, but 57 views and 2 posts is completely stupid.

*makes dramatic exit* :P

looks great!!! with the icons though..... i would tip the screen more upwards and add shadows. the you can open paint.net (www.getpaint.net (http://www.getpaint.net)) and use the magic wand on the tan area and delete the tan area leaving the shadow.... save as a .png and the icons will look 1000x better!

i like your set so far.... very nice!

Very nice so far. I had the same problem with my Charlie and the chocolate factory. Oh well, nice job.

I know the feeling, and it sucks even more when you see a bad thread with 15 pages. Even if someone isn't interesting in the theme of a set, is it too hard to at last thank the creator for taking the time to make a set?

I agree, most people here are getting too selfish, and expect sets that only they want, that look exactly how they want. Its a shame -_-

I hate to sound like a prat, but doesn't anyone think they'd look a bit more creative if they weren't just 'card-board cut-outs'? Try to actually model - make them 3d, add some depth!

Well , Plokoon ,I would LOVE to make some funhouse facade pieces so people can build their own , but still make it look good. Anyone have any pics? Anything at all will help.

Well , I don't know how to make DECENT 3-d human figures at the moment , which means I won't be able to make the monsters 3-d , I'll get to learning on it though , I HAVE made one 3-d human type thing , Although I used someone else's base model to make ot more enhanced. I'll post pics of it later, and, thanks for the comment.

Your dark ride items looks great. But could you make them a little bit more colorful. They look all too violet to me. Maybe it's just about the lightning in your pictures.

Especially the pumpkin king should have an more orange head i.mo.. Like the orange of the pumpkins in the field ot the head of that pumpkin-michael-jackson-double (I mean that moonwalkin' entertainer).

I'm curious to see, what comes next.

Too bad it couldn't be a flaming pumpkin head. This will be great, keep it up.

Could you make furniture, similar to the stuff in Screamworx, but upside down to make an upside down rooms?

And will all of the Cirque Phantasmogorie clowns be in the set or just the jack in the box one?

Heh! Thanks Derek! I can't wait to finish it for you to use :P
Also , If anyone was wondering, all of Fisherman's clowns are in the set .
I remember the walk through Barrel Roll in the Fun House, whirlpool, trick floor, shake shack, and more....

Those will be included! :D

1.) Yes , I have already made some crooked stairs , upside down televisions , couches , etc.
2.)All of his clowns will be in the set , not just the one I've shown you.

Great set. Is the Colown-in-the-Box animated?

No , :( Although.. I could TRY to make it animated , also the little box thing around it , is not included in the set. It is a standard 4h sized wall from shyguy's MS 2 set.

Andrew please make the facades!

I am making some random facade pieces , such as a rolling barrel exit , some inflatable stuff , etc.

UPDATE SOON. Or as soon as my internet stops acting up :P

andrewhurley13
06-14-2007, 12:44 AM
Well , those are only a few of the pieces , this IS both a dark ride and funhouse set,

This piece , I DID NOT model the base model for this, I edited it , and added on , Although it has yet to make it passed the cutting room floor , I emailed the modeler of the original model , and asked permission to use his base model , we shall see.

A wall mount , which hopefully should be a light.

Nice pictures andrewhurley..

Thank you.. I hope to see stuff was include.

I was 7 year old and I went to Fun House "Laughing Sal" at Playland on the Beach in S.F, so I remember at the Fun House, Laff of the Dark Ride, Diving Bell, I forget what name of dark ride with pirate theme? I remember old rides as Roll-O-Plane, Octopus, Tilt-A-Whirl, Caterpillar, Big Dipper, Alpine Racer (Wild Mouse), Merry-Go-Round, Ferris Wheel and Water Chute Toboggan. I was 10 year old the Playland on the beach is gone forever and they demolished the Fun House, Dark Rides, Big Dipper, Alpine Racer, Merry-Go-Round Building and whole of midway/food area. The Merry-Go-Round is now located at near pier of San Francisco and yes museum is there. awful I miss the fun house at Playland on the Beach of San Francisco......

The new objects are brilliant, especially the wall mount object. I see a lot of Gotham Cities coming up.

@rideslover ... playland at the beach was closed in 1972, then you was 10. Then you're just one year younger as I.

I have found a pic of the old funhouse of playland:

It would be cool to see a spinning hellway that isn't the one that goes on the ride's tracks. Or maybe it would be cool to see better entrances and exits for said hallway.

Perhaps!

When will this set be released?

I have no idea!

:p

Now.. I know I've been gone for years..Vacation.. soccer... etc etc. SO more time to work on some of the lost stuff. Also .. Birou releasing the Titanic ride seems as just a big enough boost of inspiration to get rct3 booted up again =]

Expect to see more from mr. me .... Hopefully which will get completed. :)
