Ok, I'm new here, I'm usually at Vodhins forums.
Anywho, I know that you've made the doors as ride events. I'm not sure if any one else has already asked, but could you tell me or show me a pic of what flags and unknowns are used to let it work?
I would really appreciate it :D
Thanks!

I don't know if it needs flags checked, perhaps just select ride event if you have not already tried?

I think that The_Cook created a very complex program that can do it, but you would need to know c++ and understand the game environment to get it to work.

c++ is a programming language that takes a lot of time and understanding to develop the ability to use it to an ok standard. It is very complicated and I would suggest that it is too time consuming to learn on your own. Go to university or college or what ever you call and do software engineering that is the best way to learn it.

I tried ride event already, it doesn't work.
surfinoz, when you say he has a special program, it's one he made right? Or maybe one that has already been released?
if he did make it, i hope he can put it up for download! lol

I don't think he has a user friendly program ready for download. From what I understand he is working on something that more advanced programmers might be able to figure out, but don't hold your breath.

Creating new ride events isn't something that general scenery makers can do at the moment. To create the doors pack I had to reverse engineer the file format and write a program that generates the relevant files. Making a piece a ride event instead of a continuously cycling animationic is a case of checking the Ride Event flag, but I can't remember offhand which flag it is.
I am working on an application that will allow others to produce simple animations, but it is a very rough and ready tool that is intended as a temporary measure until someone updates the importer tool to handle animation. You will need a fair bit of knowledge of how animation works in game engines to be able to use it.
I'll announce the tool properly when it's ready.

wow , this sounds really good :D ,
but it will probably be waaaay to hard for me , and most other cs makers to understand..
I remeber you mention that in the pm I sent you Cook, sounds great I'll be throwing something unique out with it ;)

C++ is very hard to learn and understand. Trust me. You may get confused.

Yep very very confusing to start off with, grab the basics though and it's a blast however I never got past even a basic text adventure rpg so...I moved on to an app called Darkbasic. It's for dx9 development works like a charm for most stuff worth looking in to if you want to start programming ;)
