jcat darkride set feezes my game

the game freezes when i open up (clicking on the +) the jcat darkride set, the mouse curser freezes, and you hear the main background music quite loudly.

meanwhile on your desktop, you get this:

anyone know how this can be fixed?

i get that too on some of my cso i download but i dont know how to fix it sorry

ah i think ive fixed it now, i delted the dark collection folder only to realise the folder was in within another theme folder, it's ok now :up:

also, incase you get it again one of the ways you get it is that while downloading the file it gets corrupted you just have to download it again.

Ok, download the file

When it "arrives" on your desktop open it, no theres 2 ways it could go:

1. There is 1 folder and two other files that say "style.common" and "style.unique". That means your good and can out the folder from your desktop straight into the Style folder

2. If you open the folder from your desktop and there is another folder in there that says something similar to the original folder, take that one and put it onto the Rct3 style folder.

Im not sure how else to explain it, unless i use pictures, if you still cant get it try doing a "search" or ill make one with pictures. Im pretty sure theres a tutorial on this.

Well, hes a n00b because theres plenty of threads that have the same problem in them, and if people would just use the search bar, or use the read me file then it this wouldn't happen as much. Its common sense, and sorry for trying to help

hey if this happens alot like it did to me, then find a new computer to play the game on. that would alwase happen to me and I swiched computers and It doesn't happen any more

The error that he showed had nothing to do with the need for a new computer...it just means the CS set wasn't installed correctly. As -Scream- pointed out, sometimes an extra folder is created. This causes the set to not work. It's easily corrected. Getting a new computer most certainly doesn't fix that.

I think the way i stated is much easier than buying a new computer, considering i don't have a couple thousand dollars just sitting around
