it could be your firewall maybe = /
Well.. by GPS I think you mean the map and not the actual small GPS box?..
if you can see the dots in your GPS then that means you are connected and should be able to see them in your screen. If what you're saying is correct, then you're the first person I've heard of to have such problem.
If you can see them in your map but not on the road, then it is most likely you're firewall, either on your modem or router if you use one, that's preventing other people from connecting to you. There was another member who had the same problem but he could not resolve it. I suggest that if possible, you set your modem to Bridged Ethernet and simply connect your PS2 directly to the modem and bypass the router. (if you have one)

i think i've come up with a reason why some people can't see everyone. IT has something to do on the ISP's end. The only people i've cruised with from the forum is Jarod and Jenn and they live close to me. another guy had NC in his name which leads me to believe that i can only see people from my state or the surrounding states.
I'm going to call my ISP (which is embarq) and see if they have ports blocked on their end or figure out someway to fix it

You're having the same problems as i am. It's most likely on your ISP's end
I sincerely doubt it's the ISP..
Bronco I've seen you online before (on the map), but everytime I did you were doing a race Lol so I've never actually seen you in game.
I'm telling ya, if you can, go into your modem settings/config and set it to Bridged Ethernet mode and hook it up directly to your ps2... That's what I have to do everytime.. then when I'm done playing TDU I have to reset the modem, go back into the config, update, then login, then let it re-sync and finally I get back internet connectivity on my pc. Takes me 10 minutes to get on TDU, and 10 minutes to get on my pc after playing TDU.

there's no bridged Ethernet mode on this piece of crap modem, but i can open up the DMZ, which i have done and connected directly to ps2, with still the same results, i know it's the isp becasue it didnt start doing it with my games untill sprint became embarq and updated all the servers and stuff. the modem even messes with my router causing everything to drop connecton every now and then
