Old news. They were removed in the off season, and one side opened at the beginning of the season.

Where have YOU been?? :)
Actually, the ride is closed now.. kinda funny though.
I did manage to ride Robin earlier this season.. wasn't too bad either.

Why'd they close it?
I haven't been in a year, so it wasn't open then either.

Sorry to contradict you, but it's not been closed all season. I also rode the Robin side. My ride was on May 27th, along with a friend who was visiting from London. It looked like the Batman side did not have a train on the track, however, so it is possible that the Batman side has been closed all season -- I can't say for sure.

Wow, the Chiller's been having problems as long as I can remember. Out of all the times I've gone there, I've noticed that if the Chiller's working (hardly ever does) that Robin is always the only track operating, not Batman.

Yeah.. sorry to contridict you AGAIN.. but I rode Robin earlier this season.
Now unless this was some 'other' Batman and Robin: The Chiller at SFGAdv.. ;)

I really do wish they could duel it up again.. but from what i've heard, it hasn't since the VERY beginning. I also would love go get on Batman.. never had an upsidedown tophat.

They're nice, i rode Mr. Freeze and when you come through it backwards it doesn't feel like your going to make it over. I seems like its just going to stop

I saw it being removed, but I never knew why. Is it because of g-forces?

I read that when the lims failed on the spikes the trains would get stuck in the zero g roll.
I rode Robin early this season as well. I also have seen both batman and robin run at the same time.

I saw it duel ONCE 3 years ago. And the reason they removed them because when the LIMs failed the ride would valley between the Cobra Roll and the Roll. It happened I think 3 times last year.

Oh...well that doesn't make sense...why would they remove them if they didn't get stuck in the zero g rolls?

I think they put too many g forces on the riders.

Hmmm, if they pulled too many g's on the riders, then I guess they weren't really 0 g rolls. The mystery continues!

From Wikipedia:
During the 2004 season, the LIMs on the Robin sides spike failed causing the train to become stuck upside down in the Zero G roll. The cause for the LIMs' failure is still unknown.

Regardless, the Six Flags maintenance strikes again!
Not that I have anything against their mechanics, but it's most likely management decisions that cause the legendary six flags snafus.

They say that launching both trains now would create a power outage in the park because of all the enegery it needs.

that is sad cause i liked the ride.i managed to get on robin in May 07 and I loved it :cry::cry: i consider myself blessed cause i was probably one of the last people to get on it before it closed and i cannot beleive they are taking out the zero-g rolls. anybody who complains about that is wierd because if you didn't complain about the butterfly thing on robin than i see no reason for anybody to complain about those rolls. this is the problem with most amusement parks. they think they are making a ride better but it turns out that after they change it it sucks. they should just leave the ride alone cause they are messing it up. and besides, i didn't even know know the rolls were there, even when i rode it i didn't even feel them when i wen't through them so six flags should just leave the effing ride alone before they do something they regret
