Hello again everyone! I just started playing around with my next CS set, which is going to be my Sports Set. I've had this idea for a while now, since I created my first set (Stadium Seating), but now that I have more experience in CS-making, I am going to create this set.;)

I imported my first piece today, an ice hockey rink. It is a large object (5x12 RCT blocks wide!), but I figure it would only be used once, maybe twice, in each park, so it's okay. I will also have the boards, penalty boxes, benches, etc. as separate pieces, so the poly count isn't too high.

The plans I have for this set include objects for hockey, baseball, football, basketball, and soccer. I am unsure of how many objects will be included, but I am sure it will not be too high, as I am simply creating parts that will allow you to create sports fields/surfaces that will work with my Stadium Seating set.;)

Nice idea. Real original.

Don't forget about Vodhin's stadium light. It would go well with this too!.

@Chicken Biscuit: Thanks!
@ATH: Thanks, I forgot about Vodhin's lights, this set should work very well with them!
@Magnum: Thanks, I'm glad to hear from others that my CS is improving little by little.:noob: And Let's Go Rangers indeed!
@Simpleplantb: Thanks!
@-LiLDaReDeViL5-: I have plans for those sports as well, I posted that in the first post.;)

Anyways, quick update to show you what my progress is. I modeled and imported some of the rink pieces, including the end boards and benches. However, I am not quite happy with the boards' texture at the moment, I would like it to not be tiled like that. But that is an easy fix, I'll just have to play around with getting it right. Also, the half-boards piece does not line up for some reason, so I need to fix that. But other than that, progress is going well.:cool:

Here's a few pics to show those pieces, and how they can be integrated with my Stadium Seating set.;) Oh, and sorry about not removing the menus, I didn't feel like it, haha.

Another set by NYR. This is something I would expect to see in a village near by a park, but nothing I would see IN a park.

there are plenty of uses for this IN a park. 1 for example...: a ice skating ring.

and not everybody builds amusement parks. it has many of uses.

You mean inside a park? Or a fun spot or...convention center?

WOW! Really cool. But one thing, why waste your time to make something like this. I mean how many times is someone gonna use this for their theme parks. Unless yoru using it.

Well, I'm only making a small set because I would like to use it in some of my parks. I just finished modeling, there's only going to be 23 pieces, because A) I am too lazy to make more, and B) there really isn't much flexibility with this set, so I don't need to make much, just the very basics that some people might find useful. If not, then I just did it for my own use.:p

There is no such thing as a useless set. Those sets that are deemed useless by some I merely find challenging, because they force me to come up with some creative ideas concerning their use.

Oh yeah! A WWE ring would so kick ass! Maybe you can do some sets, and a cage, and a titantron, and...wait, that's too much. A wrestling ring would be just fine.:up:
