Hi mikefh!
I don't know if Universal Studios offers this, but I know that Busch Gardens offers a tour of their Howl-O-Scream event. Basically it's a package that includes a guided "tour" of the park which includes line bypassing to all the haunted houses, dinner, and any and all shows that are playing. Otherwise, the lines are just too long to have any fun, in my opinion.
It will cost about $75 extra, but it's well worth it if you have the money. You'd have to see if Universal offers this kind of "tour" though. I'm sure they do.
