Yesterday I went to King's Island and I noticed that Drop Zone was opened. Does anyone know if the other drop rides have reopened too?
There are some differences with the ride however. I noticed that it lifts a little faster, and it does not revolve around the tower anymore. Also, they are extremely strict about dropping things or spitting while on the ride.
I could just be an idiot, but I haven't seen anything about it opening so I decided to post.:)

I think they all opened a few days after the accident at Kentucky Kingdom. Strange that it doesn't rotate... also, at every park with a drop ride I've been to (WoF, Kennywood, and Valleyfair), they have been strict about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe all the Drop Towers are now open, except for the one at SFKK.

S&S Towers never closed in the first place.

Hemmy,
The former Paramount parks have Intamin drop towers, so those are the ones that were closed.
When I was at Kings Island last week, Drop Zone was down most of the day. I don't actually recall if I ever saw people on it, but I did see it going through test runs at various times of the day. On those test runs, the ride was spinning.
It really didn't surprise me to see Drop Zone down. On my trips to Kings Island over the past 7 years, there was only one day when I saw it run for the full day. All the other times, it was down for at least a few hours. It seems to me that the ride is not particularly reliable!

I meant drop towers in general, he mentioned that they are being strict about people holding things.

What I meant was the person I quoted listed tighter enforcement at Worlds of Fun and Valleyfair, each of which have S&S towers so probably wouldn't be directly connected, but just to save their butt.

They're Cedar Fair parks, so I could see why all of the CF parks (but strangely not CP) would have tighter enforcement, however, WoF seems to have given up at it.
