Ok, here's my story. I saw a ride on youtube and wanted to try and make somthing similar. I needed it to be dark, but i couldn't get it to be dark. i saw the dark ride set, but when i got it it said i didn't have ".ovl file extension" WHAT?! I need someone to please help me with getting the dark ride set.

It was given. Here it is broken down.
Remove the dark ride set.
Read the directions on how to install it from beginning to end.
Re-read the directions on how to install it.
Read them a 3rd time and take notes.
Re-install the set.

Not trying to be a smart axe , but it is not hard to install this stuff, I have crashed my comp twice and had to reinstall the 30 or so favorite sets I use again twice, I did them all at once and they all work fine. Here is what you probably did wrong. once downloaded you need to extract to somewhere on your comp , a new folder or desktop is fine. look at what you have extracted, open the folder it should have a folder and 2 ovl files ,some sets have more folders.if there is a read me file read it. but the key is , don't rename the folders close the folder and copy the folder with the ovls inside and paste that into your style /theme folder. then open your game and test it. if you did it right it will work if you did it wrong it will not work. once you do it right you will find that CS is easy to use and very usefull.

ok, having a new problem. I did what u guys said, but now everytime i open RCT3 and go to scenery, i click on JCat's Dark Ride Set and the game stops working. Any advice?

yes: dont double post. also, the no sid for svd usually means its installed wrong.

And is it a .rar file you downloaded? If it is, you need WinRar to be able to extract it.

Dont save it to disk if you are, get WinRAR/WinAce and read the instructions on what to extract, what order to do it in, where to extract it to, ect.
