The other day we went to great adventure in order to check out some coasters. On the way there I was thinking "I'll probably spend all day w aiting for Ka and Toro. When we entered the park I saw nobody (not litteraly). Anyway, this was my first time in the park since reaching the 54" mark (i'm very short for my age) and I wanted to go on superman: ultimate flight but I thought i'd be waiting for 3 hours or so but I figured what the hey. When I got on line, I walked with out stopping all the way to the queue house, after that I just needed the car to come back so I could board. The ride was amazing and was a fine choice for my first flying coaster:). After that I commited my self to Kingda Ka even though I was scard to death. I knew that the line always hits big numbers and since it was 12:00 I figured Ka would be my last ride. When I got on line, I literally walked on the first car. The ride hadn't broken down though because people were riding it as I walked toward the line. After waiting about 15, yes 15, minutes for El Toro, I walked Medusa, Nitro, Batman, and The scream Machine. I did every coaster in about 3 hours. Was this luck or what? Where was everyone, it was a Sunday and no one was there. :p:noob::cool:

Well thats like walking on at Geauga Lake.. nothing special. ;)

I'd say I got lucky with The Raven.. 21 strait re-rides in the same seat. That was cool.

Its happened to me like 3-4 times.. but because we either waited for the ride to open, or it was a Friday in Halloweekends.

Well, I've only been there a few times. ;) A few days last year, and a few days this year. Although, my walk-on wasn't that great, since someone managed to sneak a cell phone on, and it was an almost-rollback, like this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=ATn6qje0KmA).

Well, I haven't really been to many amusement parks, so while it has happened to me before, marathons on Hydra made the day. Walk on front row the latter half of the day.

Sounds like fun. If you ever go to California, go to Six Flags Magic Mountain. If you liked Superman, you will LOVE Tatsu, the best flying coaster there is.

I went to magic mountain but my mom was afraid of the gangs so all I got to do was Goliath and colussus. Goliath was awesome though!

Yeah, my dad said the line was short because everyone was afraid to ride it :noob:.

When I went earlier this summer, the morning was like that, but the the lines for just about everything got to 45 minutes or more after like 1p.m.

Was the day really hot or somthing like that that would turn people away on the day you went?

It was about 68-73 degrees farenheit. Also, we arrived at 2pm and hit ka and toro by 3:00, 3:25 respectively. Maybe people didn't want to go? When we went on Nitro it was 7:00 which is usually when the lines seem to be their biggest, but when we entered the queue, not only were there no people but when we arrived at the station, the car was there and waiting.

The line was only 30min for TTD when we went to CP, I chickened out though. That chickening out was my main motive towards riding ka.

It was always a ghost town for me, and many people who've been there. GL is a pretty quiet park now.

I went once last year... 3 rows of cars. I was in shock.

Actually, I find that all the "superhero rides" like superman and batman are always the best ones in the park:D

Astro- When was the exact date you went if you can remember. SFGADV is my home park and even before Ka and Toro, it was still packed. You r soooo lucky. The best day I had was a rainy Sunday Mourning where I got El Toro 5 times (1 front, 1 back) and Ka 1 front row in less than an hour. But once the sun came out, the park filled up, but it was the best day I had. Did you have SP or Fast Pass or something like that?

With the Maxx Pass, I think Geauga Lake is worth a stop in order to make more use of the pass. This year, with my Cedar Fair Maxx Pass Plus, I've been to Cedar Point for 8 days, Soak City for 1 day, Geauga Lake for 1 day, Kings Island for 2 days, Dorney Park for 1 day, and Michigan's Adventure for 1 day. This weekend, I'll be adding Canada's Wonderland for 1 day. In my view, that's the way to get the Maxx Value out of the Maxx Pass! :D

SFGADV is my homepark (even though it's 2 hours away :bulb:). We went there on Sunday, August 27, 2007. I don't understand.

BTW, I hate the yanks as much as you do!

Haha, doubt it. Sometimes there are just days like that. I got lucky and caught one last year in June. :)

Even on packed days, the line is usually 30 minutes - 1 hour now that they run all four trains most of the time, and El Toro's line usually isn't longer than 1 hour because El Toro's crew has been great this Summer.

HA i think i had a better day. I just went there yestarday, (a Saturday) and there was nobody! In total i got on about 21 rides. Me and my friends got on El Toro 4 times in 1 hour and 5 times on KK in one hour. So in total we got on KK 8 times, El Toro 8 times, Nitro 1 (didnt feel like going on more than once) and Blackbeards Treasure Hunt thing 1. But the rest of the day was spent walking around trying to find our missing friends. lol (All of this was done without a Q-Bot or flashpass)

Yup, same here.

By the way, I am guessing it wasn't packed because it was a sunday. I remember last year at Cedar Point, in Setptember and October on the sundays, it was never that packed. Glad to hear you had a good day!
