the download is ready at http://osudennyrct3.com/index.php the download is the building folder.

**** Note ** I found the objects on the net except for 2 objects and they were from the Sims 2 game. Just edited them for the rct 3 game.

Denny they look good. But I am honestly worried that all those statues will slow people's computers massively down. Some of those statues seem to have thousands of polygons, for a relatively small size. Usually complex models we create have about 500 polygons.
Could you possibly remodel them with less polygons?

These all are fairly low in poly counts. Must are way below the 500 mark.

Attention please. I have 3 projects in the mill that is all my work. I did it by looking at pictures. But after that I plan on giving up on making anything else. I have tried to please others by making things that I see a need of. In doing so I guess I created another problem that is beyond my knowledge to fix, So the only way I know how to fix the problem is not to make anything else, period - unless it is for my personal use.

I hope you enjoy what I did brought to the community and shared. But I really just tired and not feeling up to par in my health or the CSO makers life. I really enjoyed the fact of making objects for awhile. Again I want to thank coasterfreak for taking time out of his schedule to teach me the basics so I could do what I have done.

Denny, first I would like to say that unfortunately there is no way, those objects are low in polygons - if I am mistaken, I do apologise for this claim, and please correct me - but the pics show partly very many triangles on small sections. I simply made you aware of this, as it is known to create problems in RCT.
I am not sure if it was my post that made you stop working on future projects, however if so, I find it incredibly childish that you would stop over this.
Personally I bring up such points to help others to improve their work - I feel I have used constructive criticism, by giving you an example of an average polycount for more detailed models, as well as stating the reason why your models can cause problems. I do appreciate you use your spare time creating stuff for the community. But as I create large and very detailed parks, polycount is important for me, as the game can crash if I use too many detailed models.

So yes, I can simply state the models are nice. But what is the point, if I will not download them, because I know I will have a huge lag?
Apart from trying to help you, I also hoped to encourage you to create models like the above yourself. There are brilliant tutorials available and it is a lot of fun.

That was a stupid reason to throw a fit. And reducing polygon count should be one of the basics of modeling.

osudenny, I said it before in another occasion, but I think it should be mentioned again here: there are many of us who really appreciate all those CS sets that are made and do not express this appreciation in the sets' threads. I believe it is not LuckyGirl's comments (whom I respect deeply and whose posts are always anything but insulting) that made you make that choice, but maybe the PMs you might have got. Sometimes one can get offended by a comment made by a good-willed user, especially if one is not a frequent visitor of a particular forum this user usually posts in, so even a not-so-carefully constructed post can lead to misunderstandings; and let's face it, this is the RCT3 forum, not the Security Council of the UN, so people are (and should be, in my opinion) less attentive to their choice of words. So, if anyone is to blame, it is us lurkers of these forums that don't speak too often, unless we have a problem to report, which I admit is what I am doing.

In other words, I ask you to reconsider your decision; I can see that, in a relatively short amount of time, you have produced a significant body of work and it would be a shame if such impetus were lost due to either misinterpretations, admittedly bitter comments sometimes or, more significantly, the absence of positive opinions people have but do not express. Of the three categories of users, the latter, in my opinion, are the main culprits; if anything, the other two categories of people at least bother to post.

Osudenny, if you want to host your work on our site feel free, as i feel this is the main cause of the problem, like apet08 said, lurkers who have no positive feedback, although we do encourage feedback at our site, we also feel that it should be constructive only.

As I said in your other thread, you really don't seem to handle criticism well. It's not like LuckyGirl came in and started flaming you, she just said that poly count is really important and that your CS can't be used in detailed parks, as there are a TON of polys. I agree with her, and think you really should continue, except reducing polys. :)

Luckygirl your post had no barring on my choice to stop whatever. You know how I feel about you and how much respect I have for you. To put it simply I tried. I made some thing. I have three more sets to go then I am done. I have had heart problems in the past and it is acting up again. Like I said I enjoyed what I did but the fun of it is just not there. I am sorry. The poly **** deal I have no idea how to bring it down. I tried to do that. I managed to get it down from where I started with. I have alot of respect and admiration for all the CSO makers. For those that get on the board that have never made CSO once they should just sit back and be thankful that someone is doing this for them and stop triing to correct them. Instead they should just thank them and just keep their other ideas to themself. If not get the 3d maker and the importer and try it yourself and see what your ideas will be worth when your done. I guess what I am triing to get at is, unless you have proved to others that you yourself can make the objects and make them better then you have no room to put your 2 cents in their and try and tell them what they are doing wrong. Either put up or shut up. For those that have made CSO and tried to help I must say thank you. Some of your suggestion I managed to figure out and others I have no idea what you are talking about. But thank you again. Oh well just is just how I feel. I am sorry if it is the wrong way to feel, but I is how I feel right or wrong.

Denny I hope you get better soon!
Maybe when you do feel better again you could try again - for the FUN! of it. Once you get the hang it is actually fun, and believe me there are very frustrating moments at the beginning :D
Personally I think it's very different to take a complex model and bring down the polycount - remodelling is easier imho.
Should you maybe wish again to pursue this in the future, start with simple things (I was so proud of my first cube :haha: ) - this way you learn some orientation and how best to achive things.
I would hate to see your talent wasted, but your health is way more important.

All I read is about the polycount. But doesnt anyone notice the copyrights? Its illegal to share those objects without asking the author of the objects for the permission. I dont think EA will give you the permission for the monkey and the woman statue. And the other things have probably copyrights too. Free to download means not free to share and free to use.

Sorry if I have forgot something to read here in this topic.

I never had a problem with what luckygirl said to me at all. Seriouly. I respect luckygirl and love her very dearly and she knows that. She was just being honest and in my eyes triing to help me out. Thank you LittleMac for the thought to lower the poly counts. Luckygirl is like a daughter to me. Even tho she lives so far away. She is a wonderful person and has a beautiful heart. She is a very gifted person in many ways. I just admire what she is doing to better herself in real life and her modeling is just awesome. That really wasn't the issue at all for my choice. It has more to do with my health (heart problems).

NOOOOOOOO! You're not gonna leave us, I'll make sure you're still around makin' things for us and those not-so-smart peeps in the community! (you know, the one's that keep asking, flaming, and starting crap!) lol

I must say, it was my pleasure in guiding your start in making CS for RCT3. I am happy with all the sets you've come out with, and the next few sets you'll be finishing up will sure be wonderful to have also! I also want to say Thank you my friend for all the great textures you've helped me with, and the ideas, that you have given me. Like Mac said if you would like to be more at ease, "hang-out" more on our site and sit back and relax, no worries there mate!

If need be, make them for you only, then put them out in a new thread, and dont reply to you're own thread, and that'll take care of reading peeps opinions! LOL just kidding.....
