I just try like download it like 3 time read the install instruction 2 time already and it still will work. when put in rct3 is there nother website use to download it instead of us his site page think his link not working please help need this for my park.

HUH? That was a little hard to understand there, but I think you have to dowload it from his site and then it should work. I mean it should work anywhere else.

That is the only place this set can be downloaded from, but it definitely is a set that works. You either haven't installed it correctly, or you think it's not working, because you have to be really close to the animals for them to appear. I don't think, however, that a slow computer or an old graphics card are a problem with this particular set.

no get little message pop up when something not working. I did ever thing it said all it say put the file in the C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum\Style maybe it does not work with the platimum

is there some files got to go to a different place or somthing

It has to be in Style\Themed. Read the stickies for complete instructions. Also, search these forums for any Platinum issues.

I mean that you should look into the pinned thread "Custom Scenery Help & Tutorials" at the top of this page and read the tutorials on installing custom scenery AND also that you should search the RCT3 section of the Atari forums for any possible issues with Platinum. Have you installed any other custom scenery successfully? If not, then it is simply a matter of wrong installation. The safari set has always worked and so has its download link.

no install almost all his set butis the first one give me a problem i don't konw why. i found this on the forums

The problem is they zipped the files with folders within folders...my dumb mistake ...

When you unzip the folder, double click in that zipped folder and you will find another folder containing his content, similar with battor's stuff I found. Then just drag the folder within a folder into the area for your user created content goes. It will than work.

i did this still will not work and when I open up his file take other file out there was that file and two othe are for the incon place with file and try incon file in the with set file too .

OK, here it is. From that site you will download a file called "safari.zip". When you unzip it, you will find it contains a folder named "safari" and a file named "Installation.txt". Go into the folder named "safari". You will now see a single folder named (again) "safari". Copy this folder and paste it in "Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum\Style\Themed". You are ready.

who got Platinum and can tell me it work on there.
None of his other set give me A problem like this I think it this set all other work.

you know, if you dont get how to install Custom Scenery and you read the tutorials.... Maby you should not use it. theres a game thats called Rct3 WILD! that would beyour best bet

Nope. I got RCT3 + Soaked + Wild! And whats so special about platium. Its just RCT3 + Soaked + Wild! on 1 dvd (or 3cd's).

Since I really don't think you are going to bother to read the tutorials people have directed you to, I'll post this here:

The error message you get shows that the set is NOT installed correctly. The set works fine with Platinum.

Take a look in ProgramFiles\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3\Style\Themed.

Look for the folder labeled safari.

Double-click that folder and open it.

Inside you MUST find two OVL files (style.unique and style.common) PLUS a folder labeled safari sets

Inside the folder labeled safari sets are all the individual object files (they will have names like crocodile.common or lama.unique).

That's exactly how the set MUST be installed. If you find anything different then it's installed wrong. Read the following and it will tell you how to fix it:

The thing to remember is that the game engine is designed so it follows a specific path to access each scenery file. If that path is altered - by placing the file in the wrong spot or extra files being created - the game is unable to access the file.

The most common error is where an extra folder holding the CS files is created. The way to check for this is to navigate to where Scenery folders are stored. Most people will know how to access this, but I'll lay out the steps for those who may not be sure:

If you are running XP, you probably have an icon on your desktop called "MyComputer", double-click that icon to open.

Most people have the game installed on it's default position, so find where it lists your hard drives and find "(C: )", double-click on that entry to open.

Now you need to find a folder named "Program Files", again double-click to open.

Among the individual folders should be one labeled "Atari", go ahead and double-click to open.

Inside you'll find the folder for "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3", open that.

Inside are lot's of files and folders required in the game, scroll down and find the one labeled "Style", double-click to open it.

Customs Scenery goes in the folder entitled "Themed", yep, go ahead and open that one too.

Here you will see all the different scenery folders - in-game and custom. This is where you place your custom scenery folders. Find the folder for the set you are having problems with and open it.

This is the important part, as soon as you open that folder you will see one or more files or folders that are the actual individual object files PLUS there should be two OVL files...one named Style.common and the other Style.unique.

Those two OVL files MUST be there for your CS to function properly. That's where the path the game follows to access them says they must be. If they aren't, then usually an extra folder has been created during the zip process.

If the two OVL files are missing, is there instead just a folder with the name of the scenery set on it present?

I thought so. Go ahead and open that folder. Chances are when you open it you'll find those two missing OVL files plus the actual scenery files/folders.

What's this mean? Well, the path the game is looking for when you see those two OVL files is C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3\Style\Themed\Set (you can see the path up at the top of your screen).

The path if there's an extra folder will show C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3\Style\Themed\Set\Set. Note how that folder at the end appears twice? We need to get rid of that extra layer. It's simple to do...

Find the folder that holds the two OVL files (along with the actual object files/folders that were there with them.) and drag that entire folder to your desktop.

Now in Style\Themed you should have a folder with the name of the set that is empty. Delete that extra folder.

Now you can drag the correct folder (the one with the two OVL files) from your desktop back into Style\Themed. That should make the path correct for the game to access the objects and the set should now work.

How does an extra layer get formed by mistake? Well, there's several ways but one way to make sure it doesn't occur is to always unzip new CS set's to your desktop FIRST, and then find the correct folder (with the two OVL files) and drag it to your Style\Themed folder yourself. If the CS set comes with an .exe file, I always change the destination to have it go to my desktop as well.

go to the main page of custom senery and click on stage lights (donavin)
and it tells you about how to stop svd thing:D
