The character that'll have the biggest impact on the game is GT Kid Goku.
The character that has mostly peaked my interest is actually not a single character, but several. I'm curious to see how Android 8 will contribute to the story mode, and I'm interested in playing as both Kid Chi-Chi and Fasha.

I know they really need to work on him...hopefully he's better in the Final Game. I remember when T2 was at e3 last year. Goku's Instant Transmission looked horrible...but in the Final it was different. I think there's a good chance they'll fix him.

Well, if TC had allowed for more than one character choice it would be different. I find myself at a dead end. It's between these: King Vegeta (as you can tell, I'm a Vegeta fan at heart...), Nam, GT Kid Goku, Early Goku, Tambourine, Fasha, and Future Gohan.

I like all of them because each one has a good moveset (except GT Kid Goku...his SSJ form kinda sucks). But, the one I'm going to have the most fun with is definitely King Vegeta so... I guess my vote goes to him. Future Gohan and Fasha after that and then Early Goku and Nam.

I don't really have a favorite as of now though I'm sure that will change once I play through all the new additions and get a feel for them. There are some great additions so far:

King Vegeta - All though he didn't show up or do much it will be fun being able to play as both Goku and Vegeta's dads. I hope Bardock and King Vegeta have something unique to say to each other when the versus each other. Oh and there's King Cold but I'm more excited about King Vegeta.

Nail, King Piccolo, Piccolo (Early) - Finally we get more Nameks! Don't get me wrong I love playing as Saiyans but it was sad just having two Nameks (Piccolo, Lord Slug) to play as in BT2 (US version). Nail looks to have some good moves and I'm sure will be fun to play as but I'm looking forward to playing as King Piccolo, hopefully they kept him as a strong character (move wise).

Future Gohan - Yet another Gohan! It seems they have the look and feel of Future Gohan down and should add a handful of fights to story mode. If they give teen Trunks a future Trunks alt. outfit and Future Gohan a unlockable one arm alt. (which seems very plausible since his blast and melee attacks are one armed) then this addition will add even more to story mode.

Goku (Early, Mid) - These are good because they will help keep Goku's abilities inline with the story. Seeing how Goku has a wide range of attacks in the show and Vegeta having different versions in BT2 this only made sense.

Babidi, Spopovich - I can see the logic behind these two characters specially since their moves include other minor characters from the beginning of the Buu saga. Though Spopovich will make a okay fighter and actually did fight in the show, as many others have said Babidi isn't that great of an addition. He never fought and was extremely annoying. They figured out a good way for him to have melee attacks (using his crystal ball) and use him to inclue his minions but still I can see why fans are not too thrilled with him being added.

Dr. Wheelo, Fasha (Forgot her in the poll) - This helps cover the movies and will be another giant fighter which will be fun having a giant robot with a brain fight giant monkeys and a giant bug (Hildegarn, well he looks like a bug) in the city levels. Like King Vegeta, she didn't do much but it will be fun to play as her and adds to the small female selection in the game.

Kid Goku (GT), Nova Shenron - Two great additons to the GT section of the story/game. I know alot of fans have been waiting for Kid Goku (GT) and should be fun to play as and while definately help out the story alot for GT. Nova Shenron has impressive looking moves and I can't wait to play as him.

Dragonball - Kid Chi Chi, Nam, Android 8, Akkuman, Tambourine - There wasn't much DB wise in BT2 so it's nice to see several more additions to the story to help expand it. I noticed GT fans that either haven't seen much or any of DB or dislike it complain about these additions saying that these characters are completely pointless or are weak and have no reason to be in a fighting game, while this is a fighting game it is also a dragonball fighting game and many fans of the series are looking forward to playing as these characters. Though characters like Nam and Android 8 are unexpected choices, since they didn't do much fighting and can't fly (Android 8 might), they will be interesting to play as. While I and many others would have prefered Teen Chi Chi, Kid Chi Chi makes sense for the story of DB and will have some unique moves. Akkuman, while he didn't do much either like Nam and Android 8, it looks that he will atleast be able to fly and have unique moves other that just rushes. Tambourine is the best DB addition and I'm excited to play as him, since he can fly, played a good role in the story and should have some brutal moves.

Also as I mentioned I am looking forward to playing the 5 characters that weren't available for the US/PS2 in BT2, especially King Piccolo.

Overall there are some great new faces and there are some not so great new ones, but we can't judge too much till we get to play as them. Also with there being atleast two characters left to be revealed (maybe/hopefully more than 2) and interesting alternate outfits, it will be interesting to see who else makes it in. Oh and hello there!

According to the developer diaries, spike stated that they could possibly add a few characters in at the last minute. If this is really true, then why don't they give dbz fans a chance to vote for what characters that we want in BT3?

Future Gohan is the best addtion seeing as Gt Kid Goku is sloping on the Generic side, but still up there due to his transformations.
Nouva is also in there league but Future Gohan is a gamebreaker

GT Kid Goku, Future Gohan, Seripa. First two in terms of needs, second in preference :P but first two also in preference <3

Fllowing:
Tambourine (rocks), Nova Shenlong (nice and needed), Kid ChiChi (fun), and finally Spopovich just to let Videl have a real fight. <.<
