I'll admit, I'm not a hardcore Final Fantasy fan but I do enjoy a good RPG. After playing Final Fantasy III on the Nintendo DS, I'm really looking forward to playing Final Fantasy IV as it is one of my favorites. Any of you all out there looking forward to this 3-D DS version? Which brings me to the question, would you all like to see 3-D versions of all the older FF games?? Just curious as to what you all think.

Yeah i'm waiting for IV on DS to. After playing FF III DS i think IV will be a huge step up for Final Fantasy on DS. Some of the screenshots for IV look really awsome aswell.

:weird:Have you visited the official Japanese site?

I really wanna see VI on 3d...maybe on ps3...but on the DS it'll be good too. I'm really hardcore about FF btw... i love to complete everything 100% beat all hard bosses get all final equipment etc :P.

Btw pick up final fantasy tactics : shishi taisen (lion wars) for the psp...it'll come in october i think and it's one of the best FFs that are not like ff7-10.

Yeah i'm a hardcore Final Fantasier aswell. But nothing beats VII. IV on DS is looking suprisingly colourful for some reason. I would get tactics on PSP if I had one though. But right now i'm waiting for Final Fantasy IV DS and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of fates on DS. Now that'll be rad.

Heres the Jp FF IV DS site by the way: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ff4ds/

How can you be hardcore about ff (and ESP 7) and not get shishi taisen? Did you not know you'll have cloud in it too? (here's proof) : http://pspmedia.ign.com/psp/image/article/802/802285/final-fantasy-tactics-the-war-of-the-lions-20070708081505164.jpg

Yeah i know it has Cloud in it but the thing is, i don't have a PSP. Also i can't afford a PSP at the moment. I'm happy with my DS, so for now i'll just look out for IV and ring of fates on DS. And Crisis Core does look sweet. It's too bad Dissidia is only on PSP because it looks so cool. I like games like Dissidia that include characters from the different games. (Like Super Smash Bros.)

I think it's just more of a reason to get the psp...i mean if they were in other consoles why anyone would get a psp? PSP is just like any other console...it needs it's console-specific games to survive....and it's cheaper now...only like $180...when i bought it more than a year ago it was $70 more expensive.

If i were you i'd start saving for a psp asap.... (also there are the shin budokai games for the psp)

I still don't think you can pursuade me into buying a PSP (and by the way, it's $350 where I come from!!) even though it has the shin budokai series on it. But for now, i'm saving for a PS3. No hard feelings or anything.;)

Wow stuff are so expensive in satan-city eh? (if you had your real location i wouldn't have assumed you were from the US btw :D)

But yeah if i had to chose i'd get a ps3 first...good thing i already chose that 2 years ago and saved up for it. (i still haven't bought it yet lol but i've had the gil saved for it for more than 2 years :) ) . From a "now" perspective however psp tos ps3 gamewise...that's why i got s psp since a year ago but not a ps3 even though i could always afford one.

If you can you might wanna play through 1-3...cause the story is the main part (yes regardless of the godly gameplay and uber cool action vids) , it's possibly the best story of any game series when put together as one thing, and ties all together. So if you only play 4 you won't understand 1/4 of the stuff in it.

MGS is one of those "must play" type of games...liek FF and okami....so if you do what i'm saying know now that it'll be worth it 100%.

It depends what consoles 1-3 are on. Cus' i might be able to download them. But yeah, a good game needs a good story, like all of the final fantasy's, metroids (HUGE METROID FAN) and some of the spin-off Star Wars games. Who knows, MGS might be one of those games for me.

1 is for psx but a better graphically version exists on GC and i think xbobx...not sure on that one...but either version is basically the same game...and 2 and 3 are on the ps2...but unless you can play all of em don't bother just getting 2 and 3...cause you'll wonder who the greater villan is and why a hand does all the "talking"....you'll get what i mean lol.

This story is beyond good...it's so rich and complicated and so so deep....so far not half of it is even revealed...but still to understand 4...to understand anything basically...you need to have played em all. Actually strictly on a mgs4 perspective , 2 is more important than 3 since 3 takes place like 40 years before 1...so it has the least "direct" effect on mgs4 but it's what started the whole damn thing so it has huge importance on understanding what were you playing in 1 and 2 :).

See i can go on like this for ages lol...well come to think of it you can go 3 then 1 then 2....technically it should be good if not better than the original way but i don't know how'd that work cause i've never heard of anyone doing that...seeing as everyone played the games the second they were out...so ya better not try my crazy theories...maybe i'll save those for my kids or nephews or something lol.

I'm not much of an FF fan myself, but I am interested in this. Most DS games I finish in a week. I want more games that will last me a long time. When I finish a game too fast, its almost like it wasn't worth the money. I like games that keep me occupied and having fun at the same time.
