Early Goku and Mid Goku

Base Goku has always been one of my favorites, and now it seems we're gonna be getting 3 versions of him (Early, Mid, End). From what I rememer from videos, we have only seen what it seems like Early and Mid base Goku.

I remember these B2 attacks:
-Kamehameha
-20x Kaioken Kamehameha
-Kaioken Rush (looks like what he did against Vegeta)
-Kamehameha Rush (where he ends up launching a kamehameha from the top)

In this video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=OuDuSl1op3E) I think it's Mid Goku, he has as B1's the Give me your energy and a stat boosting B1 (used at 01:49). And Genki Dama as UB. But he did no B2's in that vid >w< so I'm confused about the movesets, in short:

What's the movelist for base Early Goku?

I'm really looking forward for these two :D maybe End Goku will be even better with IT as B1 or something. Yay, I'm loving the Goku attention in BT3. :D

Mid Goku has some sort of powerup as a B1 technique, he used it in one of the new vids. And Early Goku most assuredly has kaioken as a B1 technique.

Base end goku will have SSB, because his SS version will have warp kamehameha and as for early goku he should of had mid goku's rush because he used it in db. However i see early goku getting the one handed spirit bomb and a generic kamehameha for his blast 2.

Exactly the problem i have with mid goku having it instead of early goku, so much for accuracy of splitting up the goku's. :haha:

As for end goku i do expect the super spirit bomb for his ultiamte and hopefully it works out like broly's ultimate move in BT3, that would be sweet.

I had completely forgot about Kaioken and IT blast 1 moves XD they fit nicely.

BUT I would definately flip the rushes. What's up with having THREE versions of Goku and have his first form have Kaioken exactly just like BT2? (which had only ONE version) =| I'd keep Kaioken on the second one and remove it from the first, and give the first one the "I'm excited!" move in change.

Mid Goku (SSJ) doesn't. IT Kamehameha UB probably belongs to End Goku (SSJ). But I'd like to discuss more Base Goku in this topic. :D

I decided to post my modified list to make clear what I'd like it to be like.



These moves aren't the ones in BT3. Just my selfish wish.

Early Goku (base)
This is a moveset thought strictly though for 23rd Budokai & Radditz fight Goku
B1- Taiyouken
B1- This is exciting! (buff move)
B2- Kamehameha
B2- Meteor Combination (rush that ends with Kamehameha)
UB- Feet Kamehameha (make it a mix of his feet kamehameha, and the flying headbutt attack he used to defeat Piccolo Jr, could work like Hyper Tornado and would rock ^_^ it would be very fast)

Mid Goku (base)
This is a moveset for a Goku that is from Vegeta fight till Android 19
B1- Kaioken
B1- Give me your energy!
B2- Kaiokenx20 Kamehameha
B2- Kaioken Rush
UB- Genki Dama (if it's not charged at all, it's like VS Vegeta, if it's charged 3 times, it's like VS Freezer)

End Goku (base)
This is a moveset for a Goku that is from Cell Games till end of DBZ
B1- Shunkanidou (IT)
B1- Give me your energy! (could look somehow different than Mid Goku's, showing he's actually getting more energy)
B2- Cho Kamehameha
B2- Super Energy Volley OR Kienzan (could use 3 or so)
UB- Cho Genki Dama (goes SSJ during cutscene)


What do you think of it? I think it makes much more sense @_@. A Goku fighting against Radditz wouldn't know the small Genkidama or anything. He just slackered since the 23rd Budokai. And I'd really want to have the feeling of that young unexperienced Goku.

The second Goku may seem too Kaioken based, but it's actually very rounded: a buff B1, a beam B2 and a rush B2. Has both small and big Genki Dama.

Now I have really started to wonder what Early Goku's UB will be. If you think it well, it can be a very big surprise.

But Finding out the changes made to Goku and Finding out all the things they will give to the other goku's is something I am Excited about. I just hope they don't mess him up like they did Vegeta. 3 Base Versions of him and It never felt different playing as them. :sour:

That seems about right although I am a bit Bumed about it. Other than the Ginyu Force did Goku ever use Kaioken against Anyone durring the Namek saga? Since it seems like they are trying to make Mid Goku how he was when he fought Freeza. And i cant remember much about that Saga. it's been along time since I saw it.

Same goku is my favourite character and from day one i picked up the flaw in having multiple goku's. For instance end goku is fighting cell because his SS version will have warp kamehameha, i hope they aren't dumb enough to let us go further then SS in story mode against cell.

Also just looks like end base goku will have instant transmission, even though mid base used it in the anime. So i'm sticking to end goku the most, i get his base form and all his transformations. I will use early and mid occasionally for there cool movesets and of course the sweet alternate costumes.

No it's weird indeed and what's the deal with no saiyan armor for goku?, but seeing as end goku has warp kamehameha, then i guess he gets it. We also know he has his late end of z outfit and of course orange gi. Spike have done it weird alright, it could of been set out perfect with the way you described, but sadly they changed everything up.

I can't complain too much though, goku is finally getting treated with the respect he deserves. After all we have db kid goku, early goku, mid goku, end goku and GT kid goku. That's alot of goku's. :p

Mid Goku should have the gi he wore on Namek, the Yadrat outfit, and the Kanji-less one he already has... add the battle damage characteristic of him in BT2 (which actually gave him different hair)... that's a ton already... but if that's the case then keep the Turtle outfit and the Kaiou outfit for early only <.< and so on, no more mixings... such a pain in the head....

Guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but Mid Goku is from the Frieza saga right? He stopped using Kaioken sort of in the Frieza Saga and we didn't really see it again. I only saw him get really angry at Frieza and glow with the Kaioken.

Apparently he was in Kaioken the whole time he fought Frieza though.

I think they'd have to make like 10 Goku's to get all the attacks right for each saga. And that won't be happening any time soon, so there will be some cross overs. ;)

It should have been Goku early-Piccolo Jr to Radditz with super kamehameha as ub, Goku mid-Nappa fight to Perfect cell saga and Goku late from cell games to end of z. The end is right for this game but they should have sorted out the first two, I hate having Kaioken and spirit bomb while fighting radditz.

i think one of the best parts of this game, which is something we've been wanting for a long time, is that goku actually has some new moves. i got tired of seeing kaioken, kamehameha, and spirit bomb. i thinks its better to see variations of those moves instead of just seeing them over and over

What do you mean.

The first fight against frieza will be goku(early)then a cutscene he transforms and we'll start out as goku(mid)supersaiyan.

Goku early will have kaoken b/c of the fights between ginyu, vegeta, nappa, and recoome.

Actually we only see kaioken when he does the 20x kaioken kamehameha so if they wanna do it just like in the anime they are doing right!:D

Warp Kamehameha isn't an actual move anymore since it can just be used as part of a combo (where you can teleport behind them and blast them after knocking them back)

Nah, he does it other times during the fight too. Like when King Kai says Goku has been using kaioken the whole time, you see Goku in his kaioken aura.

I think base goku (early) should have solar flare as a B1 with a better animation than the previous games.

B2: Chou kamehame ha ( the one he used on Piccolo Jr. not chargeable with a small part of a CS like how ssj2 goku's ultimate was in bt2)

B2: Kaiouken rush with kamehame ha end (the rush we've seen bits of so far ending whit a x3 kaiouken kamehame ha that he then powers up to x4 , goku should fire it like how he fired 20x one at frieza in the anime....shoot it fast after one strong punch that sends the target flying)

UB: ! handed genki dama like used on the early movies and on Vegeta....nuff said :D.

Where he is almost a ss1/his aura is yellow.

Plus the kaioken rush couldn't be in if the kamehameha was made a B2, and that rush is great. And I'm fine with Early Goku having 2 kamehameha's, the kaioken ultimate one will be 10x cooler than his ordinary one anyway, and it could require using kaioken to use it.

Goku could still have the small spirit bomb if they added it to his mid form, like if you only charge give me energy once then it'll be small. Or maybe if you don't hit the boost button it is small and if you do it is big. Most of the times he used the small spirit bomb was after the Vegeta fight anyway(which is mid Goku).

Idk why they didn't give mid Goku kaioken, pisses me off, but maybe they've made kaioken very useful in this game and they thought it would be cooler if it was early Goku exclusive? Doubt it, but that would be cool.

All of those blasts you mentioned hapen to be ultimates toobesides Kid Gohan's Masenka (which wasn't as cool as the kamehameha by the way) and it will probably be in bt3....I don't think anyone on this board is stupid enough to think the kamehameha is stronger than the spirit bomb, but you must admitt it is more impressive. The movelist you gave was acceptible to me, though they would probably reduce the coolness of the kaioken kamehameha simply because it is not his ultimate. But since we know that is not the bt3 movelist, I prefer it to be the way I described it since we will get no kaioken kamehameha otherwise(the 20x could look a lot better on mid Goku).

I was reffering to the movies when I said it was used mostly after the fight with Vegeta, and I only mentioned them because you did. Turles was post-Vegeta fight(he went Kaioken x 10), Lord Slug was post-Vegeta fight(it was right before he could actually go super saiyan). Dr. Wheelo was pretty much the exact same time as the Vegeta fight so I guess the amount of times he used it is even between Early and Mid, but I still consider the kamehameha in that movie to be way cooler than the spirit bomb.

i think that Goku Mid is the Goku i'll play less from all 5 (Kid, Early, Mid, End, GT).. i don't really know why but.. just a feeling!

Kid Goku is probably great now that he has his Oozaru Fist as his Ultimate

Early Goku has his weightless outfit that's awesome and his Kaioken is pretty cool.. just hope it doesn't ruin Piccolo Jr Saga!

Mid Goku will be the one that goes against Frieza.. i don't see anything great in him.. not even outfits! his Combo Rush is awesome but not enough to convince me i think!

Goku End is the one with all transformations and with his Late DBZ outfit which is awesome as well... i've been waiting for this one since B3!

GT Kid Goku is Kid Goku with transformations and a different outfit and more powerful attacks! so it's cool!

really looking forward to this game!
