My son has told me that he is hearing sparse rumors that Arrow Dynamics (now called S&S Power, I believe) may be building a multidimentional coaster (like Magic Mountain's eXtreme) at SF Great Adventure for 09'.
If there's any truth to it, that would be the one coaster that would really create quite a draw for that park, that would really put the cherry on their sundae of coasters, sort of say.
Just dont crimp, scenery is important around the ride. What would also be cool is if the entire lift hill was encased (like the hulk) so that when we came out (based on the current eXtreme coaster) we would have a light drop, then go right into a near 200ft face down drop.
This would be soooo cool !!!
Isn't the one at SFMM called X?

Please no, don't even kid about that. ...too many problems and mixed reviews with the other two 4th Dimension coasters. Great Adventure is already getting rid of one headache (The Chiller), why bring in another one.

Not a chance. They are a mechanical nightmare, and Six Flags should know that by now.

They dont have the money, they didn't even have the money to build KK.
Even if they did have the money, it wouldn't happen

Out of all places... why would they put it at Great Adventure? After the nightmare they had with the Chiller (finally removed it after they tried the modification), why would they go through that again, instead of putting in something new that's proven to draw in crowds with a MINIMUM of mechanical mishaps?

Not to sound rude at all but, how would your son know? Where does he get his information?

^Probably the most unreliable source for coaster news on the web. ScreamScape.

That's what I thought at first.. so I checked their website. I didn't find anything about a multidimensional coaster though.

Funny thing, I find Screamscape more reliable then most sites, besides offical ones of course.
Every once in a while, they do have accuracy.

I have to agree. Screamscape may not get all the rumors correct, but they're usually in the ball park.

Screamscape is like a machine gun... fire off enough bullets, you're bound to hit something. Post mass amounts of crap rumors... eventually a few are going to be "in the ball park".

^Of course, with almost all sites.. you'll have MASSIVE amounts of blanks.
They just happen to be the one site who lists them all.. lol

my son is usually up on most of this, for all I know it is where he heard it but having said that, if SFGA has even considered it, I think they certainly should do it. They have just about every other type of coaster.

I think that would be cool if SFGA gets a 4D coaster. I don't want to drive to Magic Mountain to ride one.

I really think Six Flags should use this as an oppertunity to try building a fully themed coaster. I was thinking something along the lines of an idea called Chiller's Revenge, probably themed as probably Chiller's "new" full scale Chiller's mountain lair with a LSM launched coaster similar to Xcelerator coming out of it which also goes through the mountain and tunnels with special effects and black lights.
Hey, they can always try something new right? From what I heard, Six Flags has been trying to change their direction and might start doing some (maybe full) theming on future attractions soon, but only time will tell.
Maybe they can get a deal with DC comics or something to make a villian called The Chiller so people won't say "Who the hell is Chiller?" in line.

Good Idea. I would not know, seeing as I have never been to SFGA, but I don't think they really need another new coaster on the heels of Ka and Toro.
