There has been so many Kids Areas put in at some parks. There is 3 at my local park, 3! Its a horrible idea because who are they attracting? Smaller children and how much are children's ticket prices, about $10-$20 less than that of a general admission. Its not worth removing Deja Vu, its a excellent ride, one of my favorites. If its still open you should try and get on it during Fright Fest.

Yes, but families have to bring the smaller children to the park, so it actually isn't that horrible of an idea.

I would say it's a bad day for SFoG. We are hosting ACE's Coaster Con XXX next year, and we're losing Deja Vu. We're losing a major coaster for a Thomas the Tank Engine area? When we already lost a ride last year that wasn't replaced... so we already have a gaping hole in our park that needs a new ride or attraction? Almost every other park in the chain gets a new coaster, but the main park for CCXXX doesn't?
Where is the sense in this?

It's a very dumb idea. If anything should attract little kids it's deffinetly not Six Flags.

Thomas the Tank Engine is still a popular franchise?!

All the Déjà Vu's are being sold off to other parks, from what I know this may be their last season.

Six flags parks such as sfmm are considered "X-TREME" Parks...

Well, I just went to SFoG yesterday for Fright Fest, and Deja Vu was running most of the night, until it valleyed again. Which struck me as odd... knowing how long it took to build that coaster, I would have expected the park to be dismantling it already if it was being sold. Heck, Freefall was already being dismantled this time last year because it was being sold, and it's a much less complicated ride.
Which got me wondering... what if that Phillipine park didn't buy Deja Vu? The press release for Thomas says that the new area will be going in Lickskillet where Deja Vu is... but that could mean something slightly different. Right next to Deja Vu is the park's gocart track and a lot of the main parking lot. It doens't get used much nowadays. What if they meant "in the area near Deja Vu" instead of "in Deja Vu's footprint?" They could easily remove the gokarts and put in a large area there... it's something that's been discussed before. We've wanted a pathway connecting Gotham with Deja Vu for quite some time now... maybe we're getting it, and we just don't realise it yet.

^I hope so. I really don't want to see Deja Vu leave.

Well guys, sadly it's official. Déjà Vu is now closed for the 2007 season. See for yourself at the Six Flags Over Georgia website.

No, it's not official. Deja Vu is closed for the season because the sucker valleyed again. I have friends who were waiting in line when it happened. This still does not confirm the sale of the ride.

Okay, here's my two cents...
I've gone to SFoG every year for the past 5 or so years and every time I go, DeJavu is closed.
Why keep a ride that doesn't work. I say get rid of it.
THOUGH, I'd rather see a new flat ride or a new coaster rather than a kids area.

Are you kidding me? He's huge with little kids!
And he's not a tank, he's a train.

I'm going to try and go to the park this Sunday and confirm the sale of Deja Vu. Some friends have said that they've seen the train being removed, but that's happened before, especially before the off season. Wish me luck.

I wasn't able to make it today... couldn't get back into Atlanta soon enough. Everything I've heard says that Deja Vu is being sold, but the park itself hasn't said that, nor have they said that the coaster won't be there next year... that's why I'm wondering. After all, we were told when Freefall was removed, as well as the Great Gasp. So why not Deja Vu, one of the most popular coasters?

Déjà Vu at Six Flags Great America is also being removed. Here's a picture from CoasterCrew showing off a sign that hung in the operating booth all day yesterday.

It is a bit interesting. I rode the ones at SFoG and SFMM, but the one at SFGAm was never running when I went there, so I never got on that one.

A crane has appeared next to Deja Vu today. Sounds like it's going to disappear very quickly.

I passed by Six Flags yesterday, and Deju Vu didn't have a crane by It. Are you sure of your info Squid?

Super, one of the people on the SFoG forum, www.sfog.net spotted the crane. It may have been there to take the car off the track... after all, it valleyed outside the station somewhere.
Deja Vu is up for sale on the impri website, however... so it's only a matter of time before it's gone.
