Overall I think the choices have been great

Goku Early & Mid - Adds variety and distinction to the different eras of the story. 7/10
Piccolo Early - Same as above, 7/10
Nail - Practically completes the Namek saga and looks pretty handy, 8/10
King Vegeta - Not too fussed... 6/10
King Cold - Just adds a little extra to Trunks appearence, 6/10
Babidi - Looks fun to play and effectively brings two more characters with him, 7/10
Eighter - Wanted him in, 8/10
Future Gohan - One of my top wanted characters, 9/10
Goku GT - Finally, we have the one that gives GT story line a real base, 10/10
Fasha - Preferred Tora, but won't really complain much, 6/10
Tambourine - Nice DB addative, 7/10
Akkuman - Same as above, 6/10
General Blue - 7/10
Nam - 6/10
Kid Chi Chi - 6/10
Dr Wheelo - Another movie villain, 7/10

I thought that they chose a lot of great characters. The only one I am really dissapointed about is Babadi and maybe eighter since without Black in RR robot, he is pointless. GT Goku, Nuova Shenron, Tambourine, Dr Wheelo and Futute Gohan, more than make up for those mistakes. I am starting to feel that I am the only one who likes arale. Here is my ratings:

I love the new additions, although some I could have done without:

Goku Early - 9/10 (Love the one-handed Spirit Bomb!)
Goku Mid - 8/10 (Somewhat unneeded, but I do like his original Super Saiyan look as a separate character)
Piccolo Early - 9/10 (Piccolo not doing moves he did in the Cell Saga during the early arcs? Yes please!
Nail - 6/10 (Yeah, he adds one fight to the story mode... but beyond that I wasn't desperate to play as him)
King Vegeta - 5/10 (Obviously only put in due to requests, serves no purpose)
King Cold - 7/10 (Okay, he only had one fight, but I have always wanted to play as him. The score would be higher if he had a more unique moveset and no sword)
Babidi - 4/10 (Would have preferred Pui Pui or Yakon on their own...)
Android 8 - 6/10 (Okay, he had NO fights during the series, but it is fun to have an early Gero creation selectable)
Future Gohan - 7/10 (Never wanted him, but they've done a really good job of capturing him in the game and so they've increased the score)
Goku GT - 9/10 (Yeah, well... it was needed, what else is there to say?)
Selpia - 6/10 (Good to have more female fighters, but I'll only be using her once or twice)
Tambourine - 10/10 (I've been waiting forever for this!)

Well for me, the characters are half in half. That is, half are good, half are meh.

King Vegeta I like, because now I can do some great what ifs with him and Bardock, or Frieza etc. King Cold I can use because I've always wanted to reenact the first battle with SS Trunks against Mecha Frieza. Future Gohan was cool in the movie, and will definately be a great help to my recreating of it. Now hopefully future trunks will have his movie outfit.

Spopovich = useless...I actually forgot he was even in it for awhile.
Babidi = ehhh... mayyybe just maybe I can see him having a vague use.
Arale = Every moment I'm awake I'm wondering what the hell she has to do with anything.

And dragonball characters, I never really watched it, so I have no opinion either way, although Android 8 and Namu are just plain dumb. If it was up to me, I'd have left them out and improved on existing characters, and added a lot more alternates like a GT outfit for trunks.

I dont want to think about what it'll be like if Spike makes another DBZ game. I like this series, but next time you'll be playing as Puar and Ox King......so, fail.
