how do i fuse ? (trunk/goten)

ok i know this is a stupid question but really i been trying to do it for ages and nothing what im i doing wrong ?. i pick goten and trunks fight untill i have 2 blue balls and then i hold my left analog stick left and press R3 down and all that happens is goten or trunk go ssj1. WTF even when i have full blue ball still no fusing WHY?? i have them unlocked i beat full 100% story mode. please don't tell me its like the ape transformations only on a full moon or only in the time chamber cuz that would really really suck

You have to press R3 and left for Gotenks.

R3 and up for Super Saiyajin.

you gotta press one of the back buttons think R1 or L1 forgot (didn't fuse in a while with goten/trunks in bt2) then press in the right analog stick and wam fusion
