In the pic you can see all the different styles.
each style consists of 4 different textures.
type 1 is made up of more jaggid rocks
type 2 is much smoother rocks
type 3 is like type 2, only with less rocks for less crouded placement.
type 4 is just a different variation of type 3
type 5 is is made up of more pebble like rocks.
type 6 is like type 5, only with less rocks for less crouded placement.

Wow, very interesting. It looks like they all conform to the terrain... do they?

Link doesn't work for me either. Nice set...did you try using the 'Scale Variation' setting in the Create OVL window? A low variation setting should make the pebbles/rocks vary sizes a few times, making it seem even MORE random.

OK, I fixed the link, it should work now. I got into trouble with my parents and got my internet cable modem taken out of my comp, so i can'd update cs as often. I put it on a disk and uploaded the new upload from a friends which is where I am now.

CDN! I just tested these in the game and they look FANTASTIC! I have one issue though...I can't delete them at all...once I place one, I cannot pick it...right click it...nothing. Is that on purpose? It would certainly be helpful if they could be deleted once placed...in case we accidentally get one in the wrong spot.
Is anyone else having that issue or is it just me?

I'd like to know how many faces one tile's worth of pebbles has. From that first picture, it looks like a lot of poly's are being used to give a rough texture.

Same here, can't delete.
Can delete them fine here on flat land, not tried on sloped land yet

Thesework just as flowers do which means to delete them, you half to click above them if on a slope. the only thing that makes it harderwith these is you half to be selecting a rock in order to select them. i tried usinga full tile plane piece to make deleting easier, which would have been transparent, but that causedslight problems in confirming to terrain. Sorry, but this was the only way.
If you haveproblems deleting any particular pieces, the only solution is the mass delete button and selecting the area you want deleted.
I'm glad you like them guys.
Also, towhoasked the poly question, the most complex rock set was rock set 2 which consists of a total of just under 100. Originally, I had planned to make most like rocks style 1which was about 54, but people said it looked a bit too blocky. I filled an entire iark wirh my style 2 rocks because i was cocerned about thepolys as well, but even with an entire park of it and many were overlapping, I had no lag at all, and I only have 512mb of ram, and a 256mb graphics card, so I doubt there will be any problems for anyone with these pieces.

hmmm...I still can't figure out how to delete them...oh well...I'll just be more careful where I place them and I'll save before. ;)

I'm going to try to find a way to make the peices easier to delete. since it could be a problem, but nothing seems promising. making anything with alphas to cover the entire square )which would allow you to click anywhere in the square and delete it), just leads to problems with the full confirmation of the rocks to the ground, and you would have floating rocks. So far, leaving it the way it is seems to be best, but I'll try to think of something... I was thinking perhaps instead of an entire plane covering the tile to make deleting it easier, i could use 8 triangular planes to cover it and confirmation would work well, but that would also be bumping up the polys about 10 higher per peice. what do you guys think?

Have the rocks as they are now but also add an alpha to the pieces but have it sit level with he bottoms of the rocks, have the alpha entirely invisible.

If you read, I already did that. I had a full plane covering the tile as an alpha, but with the plane piece covering the tile, it caused the pieces to not fully confirm properly with cofners of the peices sticking in the air. It wasn't just a plain plane either, i tried making planes with plenty of vertexes so they would confirm, but still had problems. That why I'm thinking about trying with several planes per tile instead.
also, I'm already makking new pieces for the set. they are consisting of rocks of the same textures but don't look so square so they don't look like they were placed in squares when you try to make them look natural. I'm probabammy going to add some bigger rocks too.
