I searched for the answer, but couldn't find anything. When I use this CS pack when placed in the game the items are just flat and single colored, there is no shingle texture, it looks like nothing what it is supposed to.

I'm trying to create my first CS park, so please bear with me. I had a nice entrance made, but I wasn't happy with it, now I'm just stuck and still trying to get the hang of placing CS...I was hoping to create some sort of tiered entrance but I may revert to the old one...It had 3 packs used in, it didn't appear too gawdy, but just enough to deter my reasoning for keeping it. For instance I used shy's Cove set to create the walls and roof, using the dark brick (the name escapes me) but then to fill the distance between the roof and walls I had to use the lighter wood texture from the Cove set, seeing as it was angled for it...after that I needed to find an arched doorway to fil the entrance and exit of the building, which is where I resorted to the Main Street set (#3), after doing that none of the walls matched which brought me here. Perhaps I will post some pictures if it would help...Thanks for bearing with me on this, sorry for my stupidity!

Shouldn't this be in the Custom Scenery forum?

Indeed it should.
Anyway, I dont use Main Street much, but check your detail and draw distance settings; the texture may not be showing up unless you zoom in reallly close.

Where do I find these options?

How about you post us a pic so we can see exactly what your problem is.

The problem is with the roof pieces, they are in multiple parts...one has the shingle texture, then a second piece with the trim fits over top of that. Look for the two pieces labled as the tower roof. Notice on is plain and has the shingles, the other has an over-hang at the top and bottom, that sit's directly over the other one, and together they give the full effect.
