View Full Version : [WIP] Sr3d's Landscaping(Overhangs, cave additions e.t.c) New Link + Mini Set 24/4/08
Hey :) Still making some cs and well I've seen requests for Stalactites ALOT recently so I decided to make these, they work with terrain textures to!

Those are ALL separate parts
If anyone wants something adding, request it now and I'll consider it, no promises.

Cool!
What I need and would really help are terrain walls. They would go great with this set, and would allow us to cover those huge holes that RCT3 carves in the cliffsides whenever a ride or path runs parallel to the cliff on the first tile underground. Just a thin wall that matches the terrain edges would do the trick.
With terrain walls and a couple of stalagmites, I would download this for sure.
Already got a terrain wall, added that earlier, I'll add stalagmites now.

Those look very good... I wonder, have you tried it with the "No Shadow" checkbox checked?

Thanks :D and not yet, I might make versions with and without shadows though just for more variation, first for some bigger versions of the Stalagmites and Stalactites.

I'll give them a shot, some of that pic can be done with terraforming but I'll still give it a go :) thanks for the positive feedback everyone :D

Thanks, sr3D! I was just needing these!!! My only request is that you add some more sizes and positions of the stalactites and stalagmites for more variety like you mentioned...maybe even some random-looking clusters of them as well. They look GREAT so far!!!
EDIT: What about sleeping bats too! (It doesn't hurt to ask, right?)
-Derek
More sizes, definitely, groups, well I'll try ;) and bats? you just gave me an idea for another pack.

Why not make three different versions of each and then set the scale variation in the importer (like trees are done now). It would save a lot of work and would look more realistic, with many different sizes hanging down etc.
That's a good idea, I did consider doing that actually, I'll add it in now

-Derek
Still working on it, I had problems gettinbg RCT3 to work for a while but it's back on track, I'm hoping to get this set finished today, due to half term finishes tomorrow :( and I won't have much time to work on it then.

Still working on it :D  infact beta version...might as well, will addon as soon as I can but gcses are holding me up alot, was gonna release this tonight anyway so don't worry would have been dragged up anyway (without me double posting of course)
Beta: http://www.paramore-fans.net/RCT3/CSO/Sr3d'sLandscaping%20Pack.zip
Known Issues:
1. Scale Variation is not working (set to 3.0 in the importer)
2. A few missing objects (trying to work out what's happened to them...)

sr3d, is your home page permanently down or is it just temporary? It is the only place that hosts your set and I was wondering if I have your permission to host it in the complete list's server.

I'll re upload it somewhere else, totally forgot the link was down, wish I still had the site but I don't unfortunately, I'll re-upload it now with another small set as well.

Thanks a lot, sr3d! Although you have added extra work for me; now I have to test your other set as well, before I go on with the list. Which means, monsieur RCT3robin, that the next update of the complete list will delay a little bit. But you should expect the next (limited) update in the coming days. I will have checked all the links by then (I'm at letter 'T' at the moment) and added a few releases and updates. But after that, I'll still have 59 files to test - which means more than 50 custom scenery sets not currently (nor after the next update) included in the list. The good thing is that all necessary info (for those sets that require it) will be added in the extra tables of the list - things like outdated sets or different versions of them and so on. This is already (almost) finished, and I'm quite happy I won't have to do it in the future. But more on that on another thread...
